I know it's mad!! I'm on three but out of contract I called 3 on the 8th June and she told me new iphone 4g not out for 2-3 years talk about product knowledge!

I was in the o2 shop the day before. The bloke told me that they didn;t know anything and for thr 3GS they found about about it first from the Keynote speech not through o2.

He knew it was coming but had not heard anything offical even though there were all the rumours on the Web and Gizmondo had taken one apart.

I have a question regarding the credit check for Vodafone. I am 18 and have been using SIM-only contracts for the 5 months I have been 18, from T-Mobile for 2 months, at which point I switched to O2 because of poor signal. I have never missed a payment for any of the companies. Given this, do you think Vodafone will accept me for an iPhone without much problem? Thanks.

(Forgot to mention, would be a modest contract of £30-35.)
  • James, you need to check your whole credit score rather than just look at the amount you spend on phones. Have a look at the MSE guide here:

Okay, it's just that these mobiles are the only kind of credit agreement I have had. I will take a look at that guide though.

I presume you have a bank account - that counts towards your credit score and if you've maintained it in a good way, that helps.

Think about getting a small overdraft (£100?) added to your account if you don't have one already.

Gabbyevs, sorry to hear your score isn't looking good. If you are on an "upgrade" cycle, you shouldn't need to be checked!!
