Yeah it was actually, or at least very much expected as many thought it would be called the iPhone HD because of the 720p capabilities.

By the way, the global stat is Apple have 15% market share and Android has 10% so if you are going to compare them, Apple still wins

Oh dear.

Am i jealous over the iphone. No as Fifer said if i needed one i would of got one last year when it came out on all networks.

I looked at it but it couldn't offer me what i wanted and the new one, whilst it looks good and as a great display still does not provide me with what i need. Thus i have a different phone that does.

Now comments that you're not 'cool' and that it is the 'mutts nuts' won't convince me i need or want one. It isn't cutting edge apart from the screen and display. There is no doubt that Apple will make big bucks from it but i promise you there will be new phones that will blow this out of the water. The likes of HTC have already put a phone on sale that is just as good if not better in some ways than the iphone and there will be new standards set which Apple will have to play catchup with as they always have done with the iphone. I dont think that putting a 5mp camera or a front facing camera on a phone is cutting egde and in some respects Apple have left themselves behind and i would imagine that is a marketing ploy in itself. Remember the big thing about Apple putting a video recorder on the 3gs, already done but you had to buy a new phone. One phone got an over the air update for that within 7 months of being on sale.

To round it up, the iphone 4 looks good, has a great display but thats where it ends. On UI and OS it is a fail.

The WiFi failure during the demo was worrying - they blamed it on having too many access points in the room, yet it seems to be a similar issue to that which has plagued the iPad since launch, and which they don't look anywhere near fixing. Whatever happened to It Just Works(TM)?

The iPad wi-fi issues have been confirmed and will be fixed in iOS 4 Plus I have an iPad and haven't had a single issue with the wi-fi...

Its not too worrying.. I've used the wi-fi at the conference center many times and it really does suck bad...

They have outdone themselves, I would have to sell my 3gs now and buy this beauty. Btw, how much is it. hope its around the same price as the last one.

O2 will release prices ASAP I imagine
