That's surprising since O2 announced today they've sold out of Desires and Vodafone are also reporting shortages. It certainly seems to be selling well in the UK.

There have been supply problems since it was launched here as it's been selling so well.

I think what may help the new iPhone here is that the launch of the 4G network is imminent. according Tynwald (our government) last week.

The wifi issue was embarrassing for SJ at the launch.

He, or his minions, must have thought that perhaps an audience member or two might have thought about using wifi during his presentation.

A bit of forward planning to deal with it might have been in order, rather than the request for people to turn off their devices.

I don't doubt some people buy phones for their beauty, in fact my neighbours daughters did, nice pink ones, but others go for practical features and usability.
