Considering copyright you cannot currently put *ANY* music on the iPhone apart from items you buy in the iTunes store. UK Law does not permit you to rip a CD you own into iTunes as you have no right to a copy on any other media thean you originally bought it on.
I know, crazy but true.
Leaving aside copyright any music can be put on a iPhone that you have, be it a MP3 from a p2p app, or a CD or a old record youve converted yourself. And it's pretty easy through iTunes.0 -
Is there a guide anywhere to doing it
It must be really simple terms easy enough for a five year old to do it
Actually a five year old would probably do a better job.0 -

Off the top if my head. (Itunes is on my wifes PC not mine)
Cd
Start Itunes, Insert CD tell it to copy to Library, and wait whilst is does so.
MP3 from anywhere
Start Itunes, Tell it Add toi Library and point it to where the files are and wait, and it imports them.
Next time the i*** (pod/phone/pad) syncs it copies it to the mobile device.
See http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1473 on apple site, if the link fails it's under Itunes / Adding content to Itunes / Adding content to Itunes / Adding content already on your computer0 -
Thank you for your help0

Caress her; indulge her. Kiss her; pleasure her. Kneel to her; lavish her. Assert to her; let her guide you. Obey her as you know how; Surrender is so wonderful! For Caroline my Goddess.0

Ah, so that's why when you put a cd into the drive it automatically rips it and puts it into iTunes.
My car can do 120MPH (Maybe when it was new, doubt it can now!!) Just because it can when I push the accelerator does that make it legal to do that on a road? Course not, just because you can or the softwares set a certain way it does not make it legal.
In the US you have the right to do this, and iTunes is US centric software, but not the UK, but that's irrelevent to this.
There is no right in UK law to take a copy of *ANYTHING* for use on a differnet format or device unless you are specifically granted that right in the licence.
I said Copyright law was crazy, copyright law needs to catchup with modern hardware and use of media. You are also breaking it everytime you record something off the TV to watchlater too..
Like moving CD's a tape, or to MP3's it's not something that would ever come up but it's still illegal.0 -

Again, i beg to differ, what you say is true, kind of, uk law also allows consumers to back up their material however they want, be it cd, dvd etc.
Its conflicting law and interests but neither have been proved or disproved so the whole thing remains rather confused. Ether way i wouldnt worry.Back by no demand whatsoever.0
