anyone tried a tesco sim in an iphone 4 ?

I'm sure people who bought it on Tesco Mobile have but I suspect you're trying to ask something else.

There's no way I'm buying a phone if they'll be releasing fixed handsets after September. But surely if they do that there would be thousands of people who are going to be furious because they've got a case and not a 'new' phone? I don't know what to do. I expect Tesco will start getting reliable stock in the next few weeks to add to my annoyance.

yep sorry in one locked to 02

I heard that o2 phones are network locked , but that means the virtual o2 carriers sims still work

I'd suggest getting a Tesco PAYG sim and a template off the internet to cut it down to micro sim size. Shove the cut down sim in and see what happens.

Do this with a sim you don't need, so that if you cut the wrong bit, you're not going to be without a phone for a week!!

Has anyone had any luck buying an unlocked iphone 4 32GB direct from apple> Been on waiting list at one of the retail shops for over 2 weeks.

Just wondering if its just me or everyone having similar problems.
And is apple currently the only ones selling an unlocked iphone 4?

You should have ordered it online. As it is a 3 week delivery.
But people are reporting quickly times than that

The estimate shipping time is current three weeks but this is the time when it ships, not when it arrives. It takes about another week to arrive direct from China.

I reserved one on 7th July and got email to collect on 25th (but email said I had until today to pick it up). My friend who reserved at the same time as me (but two chose different stores) is still waiting. Guess it depends which store you choose. Most people are saying it takes about three weeks. The chap in Apple who I spoke to today said that had received a really large delivery today so perhaps stock is now more readily available.

And Apple is the only official retailer selling the phone unlocked. There are a number of online retailers who are charging a premium but I would just wait - it won't be long now.
