Does the new iphone 4 need a screen protector?

I know with the older models lots of people had screen protectors, is it worth having one on the iphone 4?

    i would always fit one
Im not a fan of big cases but always fit screen protectors to the likes of touch screen phones

i agree with you but why do apple claim 300 hrs on standby when the phone struggles to reach a tenth of that figure?

Hva e you actually tried that? as I did not use mine for 2 days apart from send a couple of text messages and it was still on 85% following a full charge.
I admit 300hrs may be a bit off and no one is going to not use their phone for 12 days but to say it struggles just over a day is laughable, I have also used it heavily(browsing phone calls etc..) and still had 40% the following day.

Your network signal will play a big part in how much you use. A poor network signal will drain power more than if you are in a good signal area.

I charge mine overnight and it lasts until I go to bed on the following day. I don't use it heavily but I do have the 3G on all the time and push e-mail.

One of the best things is that it doesn't take long to charge! I charge it overnight for convenience, but I could easily plug it in for 30 mins a day and it would always be charged. I'm not an expert but I don't think it's good for the battery to keep "topping it up" so I do let it run down.

I would take that with a pinch of salt, nobody I know has had a problem with the sensor.

Just for anyone else trying to phone up and get one from Tesco's Call Centre, they're now out of stock. Waited in the queue for 20minutes to be told that, and that they have no idea when they're likely to get anymore in - "I suggest you just be patient, Sir"

I'd always fit one, no matter how carefull you are eventually it will end up in a pocket with a set of keys.
