iPhone '4' thread

lol I am up tried to get through to local TESCO bloke reckons there, that they arent out to a couple of days time, dunno what planet his on! Worried now about those probs with them!

I am going to wait a bit longer. Reports are coming through that the reception is lost when holding the phone, and there is dodjey marks on the screen! Not good for a £500 phone! Apple get your act together!

Going to cancel my week old 02 12 month contract as I am going to go with TESCO 12 month contract. Which with the rental and phone price works out £91 cheaper! Plus I get club card points!

Also I really want to see white and black in the flesh to compare, as I am still tempted by the white thats not out yet!!

Im getting mine soon! Outside the o2 shop now and we've been given a number so def getting an iPhone! Woo

Marks on the screen, can't defend. Reception issues? Appears to be an iOS4 issue (reports of 3G and 3GS being affected.)

Oh right so its just software then? As the video blamed the the silver strip thing around the edge.

I just googled iphone 4 this morning, and there is a youtube video showing when you hold the phone around the edge the signal strength drops to nothing. Apparently Apple know about it and are going to fix it, its a glitch. Screen also on there, its like a yellow tinge in the corner of it:(

My contract is up on my current phone and I am seriously thinking of getting an iphone this time round but I think waiting a couple of months now might not be a bad idea for some of the glitches to be better documented and anyway, I'd rather like a white one. Fortunately, my current phone although not as great, is certainly usable for a few months more..
Reading the thread with a lot of interest though..

The Tesco iPhone pay monthly site is down, don't know whether this is just people visiting it or if they're updating it to buy the 4 online. Hope its the latter as it should be easier than being on hold whilst at work.

i'm on o2 at the minute but gonna go with tesco if i can get one. Will i have to have a different phone number? Any other problems associated with this? Never been with anyone else apart from o2
