Someone posted earlier that it won't be on PAYG tomorrow at Tesco. Does anyone know this for sure? Nice prices btw, Tesco.

What's that number, click on the pay monthly and it takes you to http://www.tescomobilepaymonthly.com/ which gives 0800 433 4994 as the number

I am locked into an O2 contract (6 months remaining) and currently have NO phone! I destroyed my iphone 3GS last week by accident and it's currently being assessed by the insurers.:(

So I actually am desperate to get my hands on a working iPhone 4 ASAP i.e. tomorrow

It's complicated as I am off to Devon tomorrow (leaving at midday) for 2 days and need to have something sorted before I get to Devon.

    My options are:

    1. En route to Devon, about 3pm, pick up my reserved iPhone 4 at Bristol Cribbs Causeway Apple Shop - cost £499. My questions are: Will the Apple shop be able to sort me out with a micro SIM for my current o2 contract there and then, and will they be able to get the phone set up for me on their in-store Macs so I can literally walk out the store with a fully operational phone on my current contract?
I won't have access to a computer while in Devon.

    or

    2. Do I get up at 6am and go to the O2 store in Hemel near where I live and pay £120 early contract release fee plus £185 to buy a new iPhone 4 and sign up to another 18 months with O2?

I would prefer option 1 (as I ideally want to buy the phone outright) but not if I am going to be stuck in Devon with a new phone that I can't actually use.

If I didn't have a reservation, I wouldn't mind queuing but only if you knew you'd definitely get one.

I just hope that all those who make the effort are rewarded with a shiny new toy. Good luck!

Several people have said that staff in store have said there will be no PAYG phones at launch. A few online articles have also indicated this. Makes you wonder why Tesco have disclosed the PAYG prices already if they won't be stocking it. They could put 'Coming Soon' instead. Also, their website has the 8GB 3GS on PAYG listed as out of stock but does not list the iPhone 4 on PAYG to purchase at all.

It's not looking good but I am hoping!

I wonder when Tesco will get around to emailing those who pre-registered for information. I've not heard a word...
