I have the 3g and it used to last until bedtime. I have found that with the update it only lasts til around 8pm. I do have everything on including the bluetooth as I use it in the car for calls. I have a charger in the car and never get caught with it going off. When I can see it`s getting low and I can`t charge it then I turn everything off that I don`t need.0

You can't compare an iPhone to your old sony ericsson. Smartphones do so much more than standard mobile phone handsets, they are essentially mini-computers, and alongside that comes higher power requirements. Virtually all smartphones need charging daily. Compared to a laptop that lasts just 2-3 hours on one charge, they actually do pretty good.

yes, Custardy is correct.
Unlike the iPad you can charge the iP4 on most things that have a USB port.

I am SO disapointed with the iPhone4 i was looking forward to it for ages. sold now. someone paid silly money for it. now thinking i will have a holiday on the proceeds and leave apple alone.If i upset you don't stress, never forget that god aint finished with me yet.0 -

Strange I charge my ipad from a usb and a power source. Although some old USB 1 ports don't have enough power I heard.yes, Custardy is correct.
