Probably, im feeling low today anyway so will be overly critical if i do it now, i find it really difficult to spent time doing the things i think i want to do, but instead waste my time doing nothing (hope that makes sence)

thanks for the next homework Elantan, i'm still working on old homework, i think i need a deadline and have to hand it in somewhere. When it comes to being honest with myself i think i could find loads of excuses.
I have been brave today, before i could wimp out i phoned for my free legal advice and i have a telephone interview with a solicitor tomorrow for half an hour to see where i can do with my upstairs neighbours issue. Wish me luck

You mean I am not the only one? :)

Seriously, that is probably the thing that would make the biggest difference to my life if I could sort it out.

Avoiding things you don't want to do I can understand, but wasting time when there are things you do want to do makes no sense.

Ok, so here i am, hair dye on, thinking about homework 3, ive re-read through the last 2 homeworks to re-fresh myself and also thought about what OH said when i asked him to read it and he said it was spot on..........
So conclusion, i do know a little about what makes me tick, now comes the difficult task of finding the one thing that if fixed/altered will have a knock on effect on the others.
I think the main one must be weight, as you said it was the first one that i thought of and effects every single other factor. My extra baggage makes me tierd, gives me pain in my lower legs and sometimes back, makes me feel bad, We bought a treadmill and the willingness is in my head but my body has no follow through, i don't like to push myself to hard, OOHHH i might hurt myself, that makes me angry when i think like that.
OH sometimes, well actually a lot of times hinders my progress by bringing home desserts from work or fattening foods and although we have actually spoken about this many times continues to do it, i think he is worried that if i lose weight, take care of myself, i might run off with someone else, so that is a little to do with his insecuries. Problem is if he brings it home, i am unable to say no, i am a huge comfort eater, my mum used to show me love/attention through food, as she was rubbish at showing it any other way (was abused emotionally/physically as a child at the hands of my mother) I get it, or should i say i know where she was coming from, although that is of course no excuse to how she treated me, but she had a horrific childhood. I am just proud to say that i have never treated my children like that... (wow, that bought a tear to my eye)
So if i lost the weight and was fitter, i wouldn't be so tierd and lathargic, would have more confidence to go for the jobs that i want to do, get the chores done quicker instead of having to do little and often (although i think this has more to do with organisation).

So i need to come up with a plan, where i can change a few lifestyle choices that won't make me feel deprived or challenged, obviously i shouldn't be completely passive about it or i won't get any results.
Have to go wash my hair dye off will be back with my plan later.................

    to be continued........................

  • ..............................okay, so im back now with red hair and no grey:D

Plan, i have decided to devide these into 3 catagories

1 Diet - need to eat heathily, the thing i find most difficult is that i would love to eat lots of fresh fruit etc but they are just so expensive to buy when your trying to budget ( i've just remembered OH brought home 3 tubs of strawberries last night from work, so runs off quickley to get some)yum yum!!!!
I need to do some research into healthley meals on a budget and try to get away from the meat, pots and veg theory (that's what i grew up with)Quick rant - why is it if you want to live on ready meals you could live on peanuts but if you want to eat a healthy diet of unprocessed foods its extortionate, ok rant over.

    2. Exercise - ive got the treadmill, but instead of expecting myself to be able to run on it like yesterday, im going to aim to walk and build it up gradually, i have also started to go for a walk with my neighbours once a day (they have dog's) its about 2 and a half miles of country lanes, lovley.....
Might even grab DD bike out in a mo, and nip down to the postbox as the cards have been sitting on the table for 2 day's now.

    3. Comfort eating, i eat cause im bored, why am i bored, cause i don't do things that stimulate my brain, i need to read more, have about 6 books i want to read. Have also began to think that maybe i am a little lonley, i know that sounds daft but we moved 100 miles from my friends(in the loosesed sence of the word) I don't really have any true friends i always end up with the needy people who need supporting and give nothing in return. How does one go about making true friends.............
Wow ive really opened a can of worms with that one........

Anyway back to comfort eating, need to be occupied, get out more....

Okay so ive got lots to do as well as 2 more lots of homework

    my brain hurts now.............................
    any comments/suggestions/advice appreciated????

could you be a rescuer tm? i know that is something i have had to face and deal with ... since i realised it every time it has happened i have went ahhhh so there you are and been able to stop myself ... makes life that little bit easier for me ...

deff dont even attempt to start with the running ... as you say you are over weight just remember you are adding all that extra weight to your ankles knees etc ... running could damage you ... walking and then slowly building it up

also look at your food addictions ... i found out i was addicted to sugar i just need to find the key to break that addiction now

and i think you have every reason to be proud of the type of mother you are ... i had one of those childhoods as well but broke the cycle with my son ... it is one of the things i am most proud of ... we have an amazing relationship now (better since he left home might i add lol) and i know its been through the work that we all put it to it
