    Good thoughts on their way.

Thank you for letting us know, elantan.
One of the drawbacks of forums like this is that you can be left wondering what has happened to someone you had got to know with no means of contacting them.

Hope you're feeling better soon, Dragon.

I've been in a slump for the last week or so. Im suddenly unexcited about everything.
    1. Unexcited about work, even the things that I used to think were so exciting. We had a big win last week and I am going to ask for a raise, but to be honest the career options that I would have killed for a year ago now just seem uninteresting.
    2. Unexcited about my relationship. He asked me the other day what I would say if he proposed, I told him I'd say no. Its true and it makes me wonder what the point is, especially as I'm putting major career progression on hold to be able to stay with him. I do love him to bits, I just don't see myself spending the rest of my life with him, and I find it a bit disconcerting that he's OK with that.
    3. Unexcited about life. I'm lethargic.

To try and pick myself up, Im going to:
    • get more excercise and eat better to boost my energy
    • see more friends - I'm feeling cooped up at the moment

    Any other ideas?

    Sending you big hugs!!!

You probably need to sit down and think about what u want to achieve??? Where do you want to be in say 5 yrs?? What do u want out of life???
OH and I have been doing a lot of this since he's been off on sick after his op.
Make sure your true to yourself, believe me we all have periods like this and hopefully urs will pass soon.................

Thanks for the hugs! To be honest, thats probubuly what I most need.

Hm, 5 years seems so far away! Lets try 3 years, if thats not cheating.

In three years I'll be 26. I'd like to be single or with someone globaly mobile. I'll be in a managment position in a major Africa or Asia programme of an international organization, or doing programme support from a head office in London, Nairobi or New York with very regular travel. I'll be working for an impactfull organization, probubly in some region of womens health. I'll have a group of friends that I will share interests with and be closer to my family. I'll have a house deposit's worth of savings that I will use to buy someplace when I want to settle down for a bit.

    Now, how to get there.....

try working backwards ... now you kow where you want to be ... so what happens just befre you achieve that etc?

also ask yourself the question ... is that really what i want? make sure your not looking through rose tinted specs ...

n.l.p has four fantastic questions that help us to think about situations and decisions

what will happen if i do this?
what wont happen if i do this?
what will happen if i dont do this?
what wont happen if i dont do this ?

good questions to get your brain into thinking mode again ...

i'm assuming people are either doing homework or have decided against doing any more ... that is fine ... it is your own choice in life to do what you want to ...

but if anyone wants me to carry on let me know
  • Hi all am still here but having a bit of stress at work so no time really.
