more homework and i haven't even plucked up the courage to do the second piece. Why do i find it so hard to be truthful with myself? maybe i will find i really am the horrible person i sometimes suspect i am.

So how many of us have spent our lives envying the veneer of others because we assumed it went all the way through and we were the only insecure ones?
    I suspect all of us!!

I've yet to come across anyone on here that's horrible. I somehow doubt you'll be that person!

Been thinking a lot today.. too much I'd say but what the hell:

    Relationships - sons - 9 1/2
My children are 5 years and 20 months old. I love them to bits, and am sure that they love me too.
I know I can be a bit hard on them sometimes, especially the older 1 as sometimes I think I expect too much from him. This stems from the fact that OH is hardly ever at home, so I've always kind of ended up relying on my older son. Maybe because of this, my older son has an old head on young shoulders, and is a clever and mostly good little boy. He has strong ethics, and I am very proud of him.
My younger son is still breastfed, which is why the score is 9 1/2! Sometimes I feel I get no respite from him at all, especially both the kids sleep with me, so even when I'm asleep they're with me. On the whole I don't mind co-sleeping with the kids, and feel they'll go into their own room when they're ready, but sometimes just sometimes it'd be nice to have the whole bed to myself! :rotfl:

    Relationships - OH - 4
Have been married to OH for 7 1/2 years, since I was 19. Maybe this is the problem as he still seems to see me as a child and doesn't discuss any major issues, financial or otherwise with me. If something is bothering him, he'll go discuss it with my parents but not me. With regards to the children, he also wants to be 'fun dad' and seems to undermine everything that I say to them, and makes me out to be 'bad cop'. He also makes digs at me about me being a stay at home mum, and doesn't understand when I say I cannot hold down a full time job and be a brilliant mum to the kids.

    Relationships - parents - 6
My parents are angry with me for moving 30 miles away from them and living in rented accommodation. They think me moving away is a slight on them, and even when I tell them it's not they are not willing to listen. They have helped me out in the past, and I love them dearly, but they think that their way of raising children is the only way and mum in particular argues with me about how I'm raising the kids.

    Relationships - sisters - 8
My sisters are literally my lifeline. Only problem is sometimes the things I tell them goes straight into the ears of mum and dad who worry too much about it all!

    Career - 6
Currently work in a care home on Saturdays because of the children. OH looks after them while I'm at work. From Sept I'll be training to become a secondary school teacher. Reason I applied for it this year was because of the 'digs' from my OH and family about me wasting my education by being a stay at home mum. In my ideal world, I'd put it off for another year because of my little 1. But I am excited about starting it, and actually giving myself a career. :T

    Money - 1
Have absolutely no savings, and tonnes of debt. Like I've said before, most of these are business debts, but the way I see it is, without selling up the business, I'm going to spend years trying to get rid of it.

    Physical environment - 6
Love, love, love the village we live in now. It's a little village, and we live near the school, and go walking around it, and go to the library, etc. It's brilliant for the kids, and I don't have to worry about gangs, etc like I would have had to where we used to live. I would love to buy a house here but with our old house being rented out at the moment, can't see this happening for now.

    Friends - 6
Have a couple of best friends from school, who I never see but am in contact with. To be honest, this suits me fine as just the idea of all that travelling to go see them doesn't bear much thinking about! I am friends with mums from school as well, and can usually rely on one of them if I need a chat.

    Fun - 7
The simple pleasures in life for me. I am content with spending time with the kids at the park. :A

    Health - 6
Like others, I have some weight to lose. Not a tremendous amount but enough for it to bother me. However, I am grateful to my body for working, and for producing two wonderful children.

What will have the biggest change to my life? I did think money, but having thought about this, it's the relationship with my OH that would make the biggest difference. If I can get him to open up, and think about his attitude to money, business, family, etc then everything else should fall into place. His 'devil's may care' attitude means that I find myself constantly living on the edge.

So what's stopping me? My husband doesn't listen. Maybe it's the way he was raised, always being told he could do what he liked by his mum. Whatever it is, he does what he wants. So I figure, he either listens, or we split up. :( I have two kids by him, so we'll see.

Wow suja - what a lot of thoughts you've got in your head! Your relationship with your OH sounds a bit like my the one that was going on between my brother in law and sister in law before he lost his job. That helped them gain a lot of perspective over many aspects of their relationship and now they are both a great deal happier. I hope you manage to work through your difficulties to both of your benefits, without quite such a drastic change in circumstances!

    Your kids sound fab!

    Evening ladies and gentlemen

the decluttering did not go well at all. I have had no energy after a busy social weekend, which was needed since I have felt out of touch with them for a while. In the friendship bit of the circle I have arranged to "do" something every Saturday for the next four saturdays - that also means I can avoid my sister's visits - I know that sounds mean but I can't seem to build a relationship with her - I have tried, but it only makes me angry and unhappy- and it doesn't bother her in the slightest!

So my day was spent doing some gardening - weeds and then some planting in my rose garden - very pleased with that, I have tidied up my room and cleaned out my various pets. My room is tidy and I am sort of ready for work tomorrow.

I have to do some stuff for work tomorrow.

I seriously need a routine. That would help. off for a think xxx
    Nevertheless she persisted.
