    Hello everyone,

I have been reading the thread with interest. And I have thought about the homework, but with my older son at home for half term, haven't gotten round to completing it yet. And now I'm 3 homeworks behind!!! (Sounds much like my uni days!!! :rotfl:)
Will have a think about all this while I'm at work tomorrow, and I promise it will all get done by Monday at the latest!
The sooner I can get my life sorted, the sooner everything will (hopefully) slot into place! :money:
    Happy thinking!!!

    Hello, homework no. 3.

Mine would be to stop doing two jobs. A lot of my problems from my life wheel would be sorted in an instant. I work over 5 and 1/2 days. Monday - Friday in my day job and Monday - Saturday but over 5 days in my evening job. Excluding travel time I work 57 hours in a week.

Now I know some people work more than that, but I'm in two professions where they don't encourage long hours.

I average about 5-6 hours sleep each night except Friday, Saturday and Sunday night.

Straightaway I would get back my personal time, my social time, my sleeping time and I could keep a closer eye on my OH.

However as I've mentioned previously we've become reliant on the 2nd income. It wasn't supposed to be this way and 3 years down the line I've decided to call it time.

The solution to this problem, or 'situation' as they say in Jamaica is to get rid of some of the debts and outgoings we have to allow it to be within the threshold of our two main wages.

I've started the ball rolling with PADding, but the biggest task is to try and get my poorly OH into the swing of things paying things off. I did give her a tantalising glimpse by saying potentially with the outgoings purely for debts we could pay everything off within 6 years including the mortgage. Now that is something to aim for.

Elantan - the book is... 'NLP Workbook: A practical guide to achieving the results you want'

Which is kind of funny really cos my worst case scenario revolves around not getting where I want to be!! I want to change my career and I know what field I want to get into. I also know that I would be good at it. But I'm also very good at self-sabotage. I have a history of it. I am such a perfectionist that many times, I have given up rather than risk the prospect of failure.

This time, I can't do that. Changing my career will have such a positive impact on our lives and our future that to self-sabotage would be devastating. I just need to get over myself, envisage myself doing what I want to do and accept that not even I can be perfect at it from day one (I'm a Virgo, go figure!).

Buffy - my OH has had issues with the clutter thing before. Trying to see the wood for the trees was a big problem - being unable to break it down into manageable 'chunks'. The Sunday free Ebay listings sounds like a great place to start x

    Morning all :D

I'm now late with 3 pieces of homework & frankly, losing the will to keep up :o.

I havent yet invesigated this 'wheel' but it seems to be making a lot of you reconsider your lives & decide to make changes.

I'm a bit wary of trying to evaluate my life based on categories that have been defined by someone else as I find that areas/boundaries often overlap & rules are really not my thing.

However, I do know that I am not spending enough time on physically practising my faith. It is ever present as I rush around, but the time/space & solitude required to be active is lacking at the moment :(. Work takes up a lot of my time during the week & then the weekend is often spent catching up on laundry, chores & duties. Or hanging about here :rotfl:.

Hope everyone has a lovely weekend :)

Yep - define your own categories rather than trying to mould your life to fit somebody else's pre-defined ideas. I'm a bit wary of such things myself to be honest!

lula this has to b e about you and no one else ... you dont have to be doing the wheel to join this challenge you just have to want to do a challenge that is a wake up call ... dont worry about doing things the same way as everyone else ... everyone else does it their way and so should you ... i am merley showing one way of doing this ... not the only way just one way there are so many different ways to go about these things and what is best for you is what feels right ...

suja there is no need to rush ... for it to be effective you need to take your time and really think and bout these things you need to be honest with yourself and you need to not put yourself under pressure to keep up ... the thread will be here for a long long time yet so you can dip in and out and start and stop when you want to you can change and stay the same also ... your choice ... the best bit of advice i can give is to be honest with yourself ...you dont have to be honest with anyone else but you need to be honest with yourself ...

Three lots of homework to do, ideal - will put my focus on that this afternoon. I could study but I'm a little ahead so I don't need to and won't torture myself for not doing it.

more homework and i haven't even plucked up the courage to do the second piece. Why do i find it so hard to be truthful with myself? maybe i will find i really am the horrible person i sometimes suspect i am.
