First of all, don't panic! This has been asked a few times. I'm not a whiz at finding old threads, but the indexes are the key! Hang on and I'll see what I can come up with. (And my 3 year old did the same recently. To my shame I've done nothing about it yet!)

I found this thread. What is the cover made of? Does it come off to wash? If you're going to use milk on it you'll probably want to run it through the washing machine afterwards if you can.

There was another thread about getting biro off a leather sofa I think but I can't track that one down yet.

Thanks for your replies. Unfortunately it does not come off and cannot be machine washed. It was re-covered and upholstered by my mum hence the panic!

Just thought i would let you know I have tried the nail varnish remover and then used some vanish upholstery cleaner. Just waiting for it to dry to see if any good but looks promising.

    Thanks for your help

'Oxy' stuff is supposed to be good at getting biro out, but I've never tried it. I once left a pink highlighter on my white bed with the lid off (lol) and I managed to get *most* of it off with the Stain Devil stuff. I washed it a couple of times with some oxygen bleach and the stain more or less disappeared, might that help? If something leaves a little mark you could always try very carefully bleaching it, although be gentle because this could damage the fibres.
