I have a felt tip stain on my tee shirt top.yesterday i had to be measured for a new arm sleeve/glove for my right arm and it involves taking measurement from my finger tips to the top of my shoulder .Clinic nurse was really good but I 'm afraid I got some of the felt tip on my cotton tee shirt.I sprayed it with stain remover and washed it last night after giving a good scrub with a nail brush and it has faded a little but I can still see it .I like the garment as its a dusky pink colour and I wonder if anyone has a remedy for felt tip

Biro ink is solvent based. Surgical spirit or methylated spirit is the correct solvent and should shift it completely.

Hi there - quick update - it did work a little bit but - the stain is still there. However each time I wash it seems to be fading a little more so going to sit tight at work and hope nobody notices and then they wont make me purchase another:D Thanks for the ideas.

Read this tip about surgical spirit on ink stains and thought I'd add something to the thread. Hubby managed to get an ink stain about a small fingernail in size on the sleeve of one of his thick cotton shirts. I think a pen has burst on it (worryingly he has no recollection of a burst pen and we cannot find where this stain has come from)

I tried the surgical spririt and it shifted it...in a concentric circle around 3 inches outside the original stain :rotfl: The orginal stain has faded but it is still there though.

I think I've lost this one unless anyone can suggest something I can do?

    Hi everybody, new here!

I've got two pairs of trousers and a jacket, all of which have had a biro leak out into and the stains dry in. I've looked around for remedies, but can't find one that sounds relable.
I've tried stain devils but it only takes a tiny bit of at a time. My girlfriend has said that if I was them in the w/machiine it'll seel the stains in.

What would be a good way to kiss goodbye to these ugly stains forever?

    Thanks ; )

I am a carpet cleaner. One of my "magic" sprays will remove biro from carpet or upholstery. Where are you? Try a local Carpet Cleaner!

I managed to get biro marks off an acrylic/viscose skirt with nail polish remover. Worth a try, perhaps?
