Ink was one of the stains I used to apply and test (in R&D lab) washing powders (from around the world) against. I would suggest that you try Ariel Automatic.
Make sure you read the jumper care label before you start........to get the correct water temperature.
Hand wash the jumper.........and gently rub the stained area to remove the ink. Then, leave the jumper to soak for two hours (in a washing up bowl or bucket)........don't top up/add hot water.......just let the soapy water cool over time. Agitate the jumper/soapy water with occasional stirring.
Put the jumper through a water rinse cycle in the machine ONLY if the care label permits machine washing, otherwise hand rinse in cool water.

I know it sounds a bit silly but I have discovered that face cleansing wipes are brilliant for removing stains on clothes. I made this discovery when I slurped my pasta all down my front.0

We always use milk. Just blot the biro with milk or soak it if possible, then wash as normal.“A budget is telling your money where to go instead of wondering where it went.” - Dave Ramsey0

Baby wipes are just as good too! I also use them for cleaning my leather sofas and they've successfully removed biro marks before now. I just buy Tesco own brand (no scent) when they're on a BOGOF and use them for a whole host of stuff."An Ye Harm None, Do What Ye Will"

Hi all,
I've some how managed to draw a black biro line all down the front of a white handwash only fine wool top.
Will this come out? Or should I use something special to soak?
Please helpLife would be fabulous if I wasn't in debt!0 -
I've messed up a newish beige coat big time. Walking along with my shoulder bag and a biro must have been sticking out. I have a big patch of blue marks, about 10" x 10" right on the front!
Please does anyone know what I can do?
Thank youLove living in a village in the country side0 -
hello my lovelies, ive come to pick your brains
ive acquired a free 13.5 tog double duvet, quilt cover and pillow case and (3) pillows from work yesterday (ex display items that were going begging). they will be a great addition to our 'bottom drawer' - it was a really good quality duvet and is lovely and warm :j
as it is an ex display item however, some delightlful little darlings  have left a few pen marks on my light blue cover set.
i gave them a bit of a scrub this morning with a small amount of washing up liquid on a kitchen scouring spongue and then washed as normal. the marks are now fainter, but still there.
any tips for getting rid of them completely?
(all is not lost if we cant - the underside of the duvet is spotless, or i could always dye it. i'd rather not take such a drastic action though, as it is a lovely shade of blue)know thyselfNid wy'n gofyn bywyd moethus...0 -
If you have any try some methylated spirit on them.
It might not remove the marks completly but should lighten them, then wash as normal.I love my spell checker, it stops me making all sorts of stupid smelling mistakes. :doh:0 -
The positive news is that the stain is fading after you used the washing up liquid.I would try rubbing Stardrops on it and then wash on the recommended wash (50 deg?) Dry on the line outside because the sunshine helps to reduce stains too. Kids in store would be unlikely to have an indelible pen with them! Good luck!0

Spraying hairspray on the biro mark before putting in a normal wash always works for me!!0
