    Evening All,

Need to be quick tonight, OH nagging 'bout watching Springwatch!

Well I unplugged the lazy gene this morning and did a quick list for MrT who I visited on the way home from work. I spent in total £26.35 but I need to take a couple of items off that when I get a minute as they are strictly speaking pocket money items (fanta lemon for my martini and pains aux raisins).

Yet again they didn't have my fave milk and I'm sure they are running down the Welsh produce - haven't had Cadog butter for ages now, Calon Wen milk is becoming scarcer and scarcer, and the stock of Cadog cheese is slimming down too. I'm a bit miffed I must admit.

I'm going to go onto the Tescocomments.com site at some point this week (they always have the 'How did we do?' at the top of the receipt) to complain about the lack of real Welsh produce. I'm also going to lambast them over the price of my fave pains aux raisins. I started getting them for my special treat before Christmas and they cost 89p for two. This was never advertised as a special or offer price. They then jumped up to £1 for two around February time I think but still reasonable and as they're pocket money I can get them. Today I was in a rush and chucked three packs of two into the trolley (I freeze them). Imagine my horror when I got to the checkout and discovered they had now risen in price to a horrendous £1.29 for two.:eek::eek: That's a 40p increase since December which just ain't justified, I'm livid.

Anyway, moan over and have to go or OH is going to throttle me! :D

Sig is updated and I'll see you all tomorrow.

    Take care,
    Spigs

Have been out in the garden planting more bedding plants and I have also harvested some parsley which I will freeze in ice cube containers to use as I need it. Someone told me the more I pick from the parsley plant the more it will produce, so I am trying that.

I just cut up my parsley and then bung it into a bag to freeze. Am i doing it wrongly?!!

    Evening all

Another NSD for me today, although I will probably pop to co-op for spuds tomorrow and noticed that clover is on offer for £1 a tub so will get a few and pop some in freezer.

Cooked Gammon Joint off for tea (ala coca cola) which was scrummy. Just sliced rest up so more than enough for pack up for rest of week plus for pizza/calzone's over the weekend too - bargain for a £5! Also made chocolate traybake. I really MUST stay this motivated this time, I forgot how good it makes me feel to be organised.

Good to see some more new members arriving on the site.:hello: Hope you do well in the GC what ever you set it at. Every little bit you don’t give to the supermarkets is a little bit more to help with other things, be it paying off debts or saving for something else. :D

Had to go to get a gift card for a wedding present today (different budget) so also nipped in to T*sco and got a few items. Butter, spread, tomatoes, a pepper, orange juice and a few other bits and pieces. Total cost came to £12.45 (have altered signature)

In case anyone uses it Country Life spread 500g is £2.38 BOGOF so brought two of them and may get another two tomorrow. Also brought what I call Proper butter just for me - not really into this spread stuff but the others prefer it. Each to their own. ;)
Have done the next 7 days menu plan although struggled a bit as you get fed up of eating some things but have done it in the end. also done shopping list for tomorrow but looking at almost £40:eek:
Oh well I did really well last month so cant grumble to much......yet.
    MARCH £62.38/250

If you are anywhere near a Cooltrader they have the Country Life spreadable for £1 for 500g and ATM Somerfield have Clover spreadable for £1 for 100g - both places have the regular and the light versions.

just a quick update- my bread has turned out delicious so will def be using the BM as a regular thing :j On the downside ive ordered pizza for dinner so thats £17 to add to my sig but i will enjoy eating it :rotfl:

Breadmakers make delicious pizza dough so next time you want pizza do make it! They also make delicious naan bread way better than anything you can buy anywhere. Don't just make bread with it-do experiment! I also use the orange packs of Doves farm yeast and I get better results with this than the little hovis sachets. Mine is rather out of date at the mo there is a lot in that little packet but its still performing very well.
Ive just cooked a loaf with pumpkin and sesame seeds in it so that was a cheap way of doing it. Making trifle and sugar free jellies also and I made a batch of marmalade from a tin of Mamade tonight. I need to run down the freezer-no idea what the hell I have in there! Only spent about £54 on food in 9 days-though its double that with all the household stuff but for food alone that is very good for 5 of us. Had a rummage in the cupboards tonight and found some out of date stuff which I must use up now. No idea why we have 3 bottles of ketchup open either but 3 became 2 with the cheapo one getting poured into the posher container! I will fool them again!
I figure Im a compulsive shopper so my best bet is to stay away from them. I just need bread milk and eggs I believe which I will get tomorrow. Had house insurance quote intoday. OMG its up by approx 20% for no good reason.:(

Hi All just updating signature. Have put £30 in a separate purse this week for groceries. Went shopping Tuesday went to MrA and spent £27.90 so £2.10 left to Tuesday. Enough to get some milk with. Interesting to see if I can do it. Want to save as much as possible for my holiday in August. Good luck all.
