I buy tesco's own mid range brand and get it in the packs of 12 or 16. If something else is on offer I get that though. The cheaper ones are thinner, the best way is to use the minimum amount of squares! I find 2 or 3 is enough, what is the point of getting a huge length of it if you are going to fold it up and not use the majority of the paper?I don't believe and I never did that two wrongs make a right0

so better quality probably equates to having to use fewer squares then and therefore cheaper in the long run.?0 -
I buy any of these that are on offer:
Tesco soft
Andrex
Kleenex
I find the Kleenex run out the quickest and Tesco last the longest.
I only bought Asda's own make once (the supposedly soft ones) and we all found them rough so never bought again. Not too keen on Sainsbury's own make either.~Laugh and the world laughs with you, weep and you weep alone.~:)

I buy Charmin when they're on offer. As a rule, we don't need anywhere near as many sheets and an 12 pack will last us for a good three months (there are only 2 of us)Continually trying the Grocery Challenge. Gotta keep trying!0

Yes - but only if you can get your family out of the habit of grabbing a long stream of toilet roll when they only need a couple of squares - most people use far more than they need.I don't believe and I never did that two wrongs make a right0 -
I don't buy dirt cheap ones, I think it's false economy. It's also silly to buy 4 at a time - you will always use them so buy in bulk.
I buy whatever is on special offer ie own brand (but not value ranges) or andrex etc.0 -
I usually buy the own brand, not the value ones (they're really thin), just the mid-range ones, or whatever's on special offer so works out best per roll. Somerfield usually have Nouvelle on offer, so I often get that, which I like because it's made from recycled paper. Definitely avoid the superthick quilted types, they're bad for the plumbing!2015 comp wins - £370.25

Thanks to everyone who posts freebies and comps! :j0 -
I buy them from Costco when they do their annual cheap toilet paper and kitchen towel week!! It lasts all year!!0

I have bought Sainsburys low cost ones before - 12 rolls for £1.12 they are not that bad and at £0.10p each I don't mind if they run out faster. What does bug me is triying to get the roll started as they use too much glue!
I have also tried Somerfield Luxury 9 roll pack for £2 when it was on offer and those are good too.MFW #185

this is why I've switched to Tesco value loo rolls. the paper is much thinner but it lasts our family just as long as my girls always pull off too much.
I always thought value loo paper was one thing I couldn't switch to. Then I started using it in our upstairs loo but still buying better quality for the downstairs cloakroom (ie the one visitors use!) but we've got so used to it now and it doesn't matter to me so much.weaving through the chaos...0
