I use loads of loo roll for cleaning up the messy ferrets' cage, so between them and us, we must go through anywhere between 12 and 18 rolls a week:eek: . So, I always buy the cheapies. We have a local shop in the centre that sells 18 rolls for £2.99, which is what I usually buy. Trying out Wilkos 6 for 60p at the moment though, as I did a shop online and bought 30 rolls.0

JUst to mention; the Nouvelle ones I buy are also in HOme Bargains and Jack Fultons at 99p for 4 or 2.75 for 12 - sometimes with extra free. I only recently realised as anothher poster pointed out that a lot of own brands are also recycled as some supermarket don't stock paper which is advertised (on the pack as opposed to marketing) as recycled. Now off to look at the link re chlorine......0

ONE square for a wee, TWO for a poo, if you need more God bless you!0

real money saving would be using newspaper torn into squares. like we used to do in the old days."The purpose of Life is to spread and create Happiness" :j0

One thing I noticed today is that the quality of Asda shades has dropped in comparision with rolls bought only a month ago.Lets get this straight. Say my house is worth £100K, it drops £20K and I complain but I should not complain when I actually pay £200K via a mortgage:rolleyes:0

the last few times i needed loo rolli have bought it from sainsburies (basics)and the sheets dont match up.. first time i thought it was bad luck but the second pack was the same.. never had the problem with tesco value i will stick to this in the future!Dogs return to eat their vomit, just as fools repeat their foolishness. There is no more hope for a fool than for someone who says, "i am really clever!"0

I've found that if the sheets don't match up you need to separate the two thickness of paper and unroll just one of them then they will match up. I have been know to buy value for the family and have a better class of toilet roll hidden in the bathroom cupboard to swap when visitors are expected, sometimes it means a quick dash to the bathroom if anyone turns up unexpectedly!0

My late Ma-in-law always had Izal toilet tissues, (she had three sons and a husband and thought soft tissue was too girly, or so she said ,I think she was just being canny ) and my kids thought it was a hoot to wipe your rear end with tracing paper .It did last longer though as it was like using sandpaper so you didn't use much at all0
