This evening i picked a full handful of magetout and gav the dog a couple because she loves them. I've put a log border along both sides of the garden to prevent her getting to the veg...but when she sees me going towards the sugar snap peas she jumps over the border and expectantly sits at my feet waiting for her 'greens' off her mummy. This makes me smile :-)

I was excited to see my first pea starting to emerge from its flower. And there I was thinking the peas had given up and the mangetouts would win, and then they seem to have jumped back to life! I think I might plant a load more tomorrow.
I am also really pleased that it's raining just now - much as I'm loving growing all the veg, the watering part really is quite tedious, especially with a 7L can that I seem to have to fill up again and again!

Does your cat have a magnet on it's collar? If it does it might be that the cutlery is sticking to the magnet and is then being taken outside on the collar or you may have another cat coming into the house and doing it. Sounds implausable I know but it happened to my parent's cutlery recently.

Good thoughts turkleton but my cats don't have collars, and other cats don't come in to my garden, let alone my house, as the dog sees them off in no uncertain terms! I'm getting paranoid, I'm counting the cutlery every time I open the drawer now :rotfl:

I got up this morning to find it had rained overnight, and on checking the weather forecast for this area it seems we may have a more rain this afternoon - frazzbo, I feel your pain :rotfl:

My tomatoes are only flowering at the mo. I guess I should get some canes in to support them for when they fruit. I smiled yesterday as I found myself tapping the flowers - my dad used to get us kids to tap the tomato flowers, he reckoned that fertilised them.

everything growing well, i have never done this before and for me to see things starting to form feels amazing :)

This made me smile :) I always think its such a miracle that we can get food from the ground. When I was young and helped my dad, it was like finding treasure when we dug up the potatoes. Such a thrill.
