Lost damselfly in the greenhouse:
Well, at least I think it was lost - I haven't got a pond.If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0 -
I had one of those in my kitchen yesterday MBE, didn't know what it was so thank you for sharing
I ushered it out the door very gently.0 -

While I was watering the garden last week I found one of my desert spoons resting on top of a flower pot. That's strange enough in itself (I'd never use the good household cutlery for gardening) but last night when I returned from a day out I couldn't find the fork I use for the cats and dog. I used it the previous night and had washed it up and put it away with the rest of the cutlery, so I searched the drawer but in the end had to use another fork. When I was watering the garden about 9.30pm last night I found the fork...in the gooseberry bush at the end of the garden :rotfl:. I live on my own and no-one locally has as key to my house. My neighbour suggested I sleep walk but there's no evidence of that, and why would I do such a peculiar thing? I won't tell you the other neighbour's suggestion, it'd send shivers down your spine
. We had fun and games in the twilight, speculating how the two events happened. Spooky, huh?

A little frog hopped across our patio yesterday evening while we were eating supper out there.
I've picked 6 delicious mini cucumbers from my outdoor plants.
The pea pods are swelling nicely but are so sweet that they'll probably be eaten before they reach the kitchen!.
The black & white spotted woodpecker and its infant are now daily visitors to our peanut cages.
And whoopee, retirement is wonderful, despite a few aches and pains. How often I used to sit in a soulless office staring out of the window and wishing I could be in garden. Now I can, I intend to enjoy every moment.0 -
Three things I found yesterday:
A double-headed Petunia
A double-headed Lupin
and my Poppies (Venus) are covered in budsI grew them from seed and just plonked them into the ground when they were big enough without seperating them, just in clumps so I'm very happy with that!

Does your cat have a magnet on it's collar? If it does it might be that the cutlery is sticking to the magnet and is then being taken outside on the collar or you may have another cat coming into the house and doing it. Sounds implausable I know but it happened to my parent's cutlery recently.0 -
Today Im very pleased to see on my patio 3 pots of freesias coming into flower0
