I have now added this thread to the NI board index for popular topics, should you need to find it again for reference.0

one for the red list https://www.halfords.com - they charge £4.99 delivery and then add £14.99 extra for Northern Ireland. Needless to say I didn't bother to buy the item and won't be shopping there either.0

Hi tried ordering from the new asda electricals site (via asda.com) – took my details and money then got a phone call a while later to say they couldn’t deliver to NI (even though there’s an asda store a mile away from me). Then discovered that asda electricals is run by a firm called miller brothers based in doncaster – so did the same thing on their website – took all my delivery details, took payment from my credit card – then got an email later to say my order had been cancelled. I don’t mind paying a few pounds extra for delivery but to have your details and money taken and then to be told they can’t deliver is scandalous, especially from a global operator such as asda/walmart. Definitely one for the red list0

I ordered a TV stand for my brother form empiredirect.co.uk (not to be confused with the cataloque EMPIRE)
It stated delivery was £5.99. Even after I entered all details including address. I made the payment with my debit card and was told delivery would be within 5-7days due to it bein NI (instead of 3-5 days for UK). This was fine.
Over a wk later I recieved a phone call telling me there was an error with a 'pop up' on the website. The delivery charge for NI, would cost an extra...................... £50. Do u believe that? From £5.99 to £55.99. Needless to say I cancelled the order. :eek:0 -
I emailed ebayer asking them why charge us extra £15 on top of £4.99 when the free develiry was on if they can use royal mail and they just said that have no plans to lower the price. So I will buy from dabs before ebuyer.0

Can you add this one to the Green list. No extra charge but delivery might be a day or two longer. Choose the cheapest del. at check out as the higher ones will not make any differance to the del. time.
Ordered a LCD TV stand on Tuesday and it arrived FridayNever argue with an idiot. They bring you down to their level and beat you with experience.0 -

my DH recently bought from ebuyer when the google checkout £10 offer was on, by going through google checkout though there was no surcharge, so a sneaky way past it if youre interested.0 -
Don't think google check out affects it as I ordered about a year ago and got no surcharge even though it is mentioned on the site.0

Ive posted a few updates to the website from this thread, it was long overdue, ill try an do this more frequentlyI used to have a signature with links to the League Tables for good/bad shipping charges for Northern Ireland. But I have since learnt that this is against site rules - so they are no longer here! PM me if you need them0

http://thecookskitchen.com/ needs to be added to the red list.
If you live in England or Scotland then delivery of a glass beaker for a cafetiere will cost £4.95.
If you're in Northern Ireland that jumps to £18.50. Bizarrely, you could have it delivered to the Czech Republic for less (£18).
In case anyone's wondering what brought me to that site in particular, I need a replacement beaker for my 1.3l cafetiere with keep-warm feature, so it has to be 12cm in diameter in order to fit the heated base.
Think I'll keep looking.0
