If you are ordering something small the £16 is a bit high but I know my mother-in-law got a 42" LCD TV delivered by Pixmania for that same £16 fee.

I've quickly put together a mini website to cover this - done using the rather excellent tiddly-wiki

A first stab at any rate : see it here

you could add www.thehut.com to the list as they give free delivery. Found some sellers on ebay also won't post to N.Ireland without us incurring an extra charge. We are after all part of the UK the way some of them want to add extra postage on you would think we lived in outer Mongolia. If I posted 2 letters one to England and 1 to Belfast they both cost the same and both would probably be delivered on the same day. Companies just want the extra cash to line their pockets and think the Irish are stupid and will pay it anyway.

A good one for those looking for gym equipment is https://www.prosportuk.com

I ordered a large cross trainer from them and they did not require any additional shipping to send to me in Belfast. For some idea of other firms, I have been trying to purchase a machine since august and have repeatedly found that they either add large surcharges at checkout or chase you 2 weeks later and ask for it.
    2 + 2 = 4
except for the general public when it can mean whatever they want it to.
  • What about our very own www.mplex.com in Belfast
£5 to send a flash memory card to Limavady
  • Add Argos to the green list, flat pack shed £4.95 anywhere in UK including NI. B&Q wanted £100 to deliver!
  • www.eezytrade.co.uk is great for computer ink cartridges, very cheap, free delivery even to NI, usually comes next day. Please add them to Green List. Barri.
  • Here's me trying to engage Simon from Bigpockets.com in debate on the issue. He's happy enough to use the message board to advertise reduce price postage to "the mainland" but he doesn't seem to want to come out and play. :D

some long overdue updates added tonight - 95 sites now listed
I used to have a signature with links to the League Tables for good/bad shipping charges for Northern Ireland. But I have since learnt that this is against site rules - so they are no longer here! PM me if you need them

£12.95 for a pair of trousers costing £30 to be delivered to NI.

(got the same ones, for £2 less, from a company in Germany, with a delivery charge of £7.90!)

Does anyone know if Parcelforce charge more for delivering a parcel to NI from the mainland than delivering in the mainland?

I didn't think so but i'm looking for new kitchen taps and see nice ones on ebay but they are charging an extra £10 for delivery to NI using parcelforce. Want to make sure before I email.

    Thanks a lot!
