No time to do housework? Do you work 24 hour shifts??

When do you think the rest of us do housework, me and OH have full time jobs. Evenings and Weekends are there to clean the house! Its a fact of life Im afraid!

You know I must contact everyone and say Im not paying for bills when Im on holiday! Me and OH have lots of weekends away so we must be entitled to lots of money back!

About the laundry. My ma hardly ever does my fiancé and mine unless she is completely done with hers and dads but we mostly do it ourselves. We even have a laundry basket in our room so my ma doesn't do it!

You are not a student at home anymore (if indeed you stayed at home while at university but it does sound like it) you do have to take care of yourself.

When I was 17 and out of my parents in the flat with the 4 other people I was still going to college, finding myself a job/having a job, cleaning most of the flat, time for the mice/rats out of their cage and still had time to go out and have fun if I wanted to. It’s about organisation skills, something that you should be able to use at 21. Yes you may feel tired after a day of work but if you were living on your own you would have to pay all your bills no matter what and still have to clean and do all the other house work yourself. If you were living with another person or even with a few people do you think that they would pay your way or do all your housework?? No they wouldn’t want to. They may do the house work but they would have a go at you about it as it wouldn‘t be fair on them. It’s no different with your ma. She’s most likely feeling used by you to be honest. She isn’t there to be your maid anymore as your old enough to do things yourself.

I want to help you realise and not have a go at you but you need to see that in this life you do have to do certain things. It sounds like you do not even go shopping for your own food. I make a point of either going shopping myself or tagging along with my ma when she goes so I’m still getting my own food as that is something you have to do when you live on your own. You say you do not have the time to help with house work. How are you going to have time to even go food shopping then if you do move out let alone anything else you will have to do? It doesn’t make sense to me.

This girl/troll is so selfish, there is no way she would ever keep the children when she has any away from her mum, she will probably use her as a permanent babysitter.
    Loving the dtd thread. x

I was starting to think that this might be real and that OP just needed a big reality check, until I read this bit:-

NO WAY can this be real.. can it?!?!
Without a doubt as she/he/it ignores a previous contradictory post they made..............nuff said eh?:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

As for the stopping the mum seeing the grandkids LMFAO!!!! This person seems the type that would dump them on a parent so they could go and 'live their life and have fun' with the attitude 'why on earth should I look after my kids when I can have my slave mother do it' :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Council tax and rent/mortgages continue if you are not there and that is simple as and so does the TV licence. Gas, eclectic and water on the other hand do not as you have to consume/use them to get charged (from what I know at any rate).

Most gas and electric services have a standing charge which is levied whether you use them or not, with an additional charge for usage on top of that. There are some tariffs without standing charges but it's not that common, and the unit price is increased to cover it. Most people still pay for water via water rates, which is calculated over the year, and not based on actual usage at all. Even if you have a water meter the standing charge is a large proportion of the bill.

By the time you have taken all those things into account, any bill reduction would be absolutely minimal, unless she spends more time on holiday than not. Which wouldn't really surprise me in this case.
When I had my loft converted back into a loft, the neighbours came around and scoffed, and called me retro.

I also think you are a totally selfish person, she is your mum, even paid for your toiletries, an now you dont want to help her, my eldest lad 19 now pays £40 per wk, our middle son 15 said today he thinks he should pay something as well not that we will take it,
if you dont want to help your mum, move out stand on your own two feet, see what its like in the real world, you go pay rent, council tax, water rates, electric, , tv license, gas, phone bills, food, cleaning stuff, oh and your toileties
    grow up l
It's an honour having such a lovely family and being welsh, what more could a girl want :rotfl:

Oh, pity any unfortunates who find themselves sharing with the OP ... she'll be behind with her rent, steal their food, think that everyone else should pay for toilet rolls cos she's not there enough to use it to wipe her !!!! ...

Just how long do you think childhood lasts?

We were expected to pay HALF of what ever income we got and keep ourselves in clothes, specs, toiletries etc!!!!!!! You don't know your born.....

I could afford to be more generous with my children but that was because I was better off at the time.

Do yourself (better still, your Mum) a favour - MOVE OUT...... See what it is really like trying to keep yourself in the real world.

I'm calling my utilities today, and the council. How dare they make me pay when i am on holiday! I'm not using their services or the street lights when i'm not here. The bloody cheek. As for the mortgage, i'm sure they will accept only 11 months payments this year, as all these weekends and fortnight away must add up to about a month so i'm not paying. I refuse!

Whoo hoo it's great to be 13 again. I'm off to slam a door.

Someone has a great quote in their signiture here. It's something like (papraphrase) 'Children. Fed up of your parents ruling your life? Quick, move out while you still know everything' How appropriate.
