  • As you are fond of saying:

Pls be nice to all moneysavers.

Or does that only apply to you and your AEs?

i think it's a bit much challenging postage costs after you have won the bid. if costs are clearly marked beforehand and you win the bid then you have entered into a contract to buy at that price quoted and haggling about it afterwards is bad form. my advice is if you don't like the p&p - don't bid. don't waste the seller's time. as for disapproving registered mail service - well if you pay by paypal and buyer wants to cover his a**e by using a tracking service then that's his privilege and you take it or leave it by not bidding in the first place

Don't know whether anyone has mentioned it already (skimmed through, sorry :o) but I assume that you didn't pay by PayPal then if you expected the postage label to show exactly what you paid - or did you expect the seller to pay the PayPal fees for accepting the payment for P&P?

It's not clear exactly what happend... did you receive the item and find that the cost to deliver was largely dissproportionate to the amount printed on the package? Or are you unhappy that the seller sent it recorded which is more expensive and they didn't outline this in the listing?

    I read it as
recently challenged a seller on the postage price and now they have partially refunded - not sure how I feel about this really - postage price was clear in the listing , but didnt see it would be sent recorded - there was no need - it was a lot less than £41
OP bid but didnt bother to read the listing
still not sure how I feel about this though - I did mention in emails about postage that I would mark them accordingly if the price stamped on the packet didnt match the price they charged
decided to send numerous preaching emails to the seller about postage costs, without bothering to check the service the seller chose
is this extortion on my part ? - at least I gave them the option of rectifying it before I rated their DSR`s and if they had no qualms about it why partial refund ?
after being harrased in many emails with threats about DSR's they realised they had a nutter/malicious type. they felt it easier to be extorted and did a partial refund
I`m thinking I might be a bit like an ex smoker though ( aren`t they the worst !? ) - I used to overcharge myself on postage ( just to shortchange Ebay , I thought the bidder would factor this into their top bid anyway ) but now send my items free or undercharged ( from advice gained from this forum ) and the OP added this part to somehow rationalise their behaviour as acceptable

Sellers can't add fees to their postage prices so a seller that admitted they were doing that would be on sticky ground. It is neither post or packing costs.
