challanged seller on postage price - refunded !
Comments
-
Hi, quite a few sellers now send Recorded Delivery because they have been caught out with "item not received" disputes. I only bid/BIN on an item if I am happy with the P&P costs.0
-
OP Would you do me a huge favour ?? Pretty Please?? Give me you Ebay user id so I can...................................................
BAN YOU FROM BIDDING ON ANY OF MY ITEMS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
LOL tongue in cheek
P+P is always a point of contention, some people blatantly rip you off some people myself included get it completely wrong and dont charge enough, I have sold things on Ebay for a few quid guessed the postage then when it has come time to post it off have actually LOST money!!
At the end of the day you should be weighing postage up when thinking of buying something, if you think it is fair bid if you dont then simplessssss DO NOT BID ON THE ITEM IN THE FIRST PLACE!!!!!
The actual cost of posting the item is not the only cost involved hence it being called Postage AND packing!!!
To hound a seller after you have bought something to this extent is simply wrong, the poor seller has given you a bit of a refund to avoid a negative feedback that is more blackmail in my book I do hope you left them outstanding feedback?
Crikey some people...............................

And yes it is feedback extortion.
Okay, if someone charges loads of money over then maybe a little grumble, but packaging can cost a lot, not to mention time packing it well, and not just shoving it into a knackered bag (nothing wrong with recycling, but you know the ones I mean- more tape than bag.).
This is my opinion. There are many others like it but this is mine:kisses2: Fiancee of the "lovely" DaveAshton :kisses2:I am a professional ebay seller. I work hard at my job, I love my job, if you think it's silly that's your problem not mine.0 -

would never leave a negative feedback for this ( in 10 years of using Ebay I have only left 3 )
the sellers DSR`S for P and P were low ( and I know how much this item would cost to send but it was more than double ) I saw how much postage was ( as I have stated ) and obviously was prepared to pay this , what I didnt look at was that it was to be sent 2nd class recorded with an 8 - 10 day delivery window
So politely :A asked if it could be sent non recorded ( postman delivers at just after 7am sometimes ) and gave them advice about there DSR rating being low in that dept and that as a heads up if it transpired that my postal outlay ( which I was prepared to pay ) was vastly different to actual cost , then there was no way I would be able to help their DSR`S
You could argue that why refund at all if they were confident in the postage price
As I said I have ben sending everything 1st class freepost for sometime now and dont factor a 10p bag into my equations
:TAs Martin says - please be nice - there is no such thing as a stupid question !0 -

We have no idea why they refunded, but perhaps they felt if they didn't they would receive a negative. In these Ebaying times, one negative and the associated DSRs can be absolutely catastrophic for a seller.thepedestrian wrote: »As I said I have ben sending everything 1st class freepost for sometime now and dont factor a 10p bag into my equations

Contrary to popular belief there is no such thing as free p&p. However anyone with any business acumen would factor into their start price/bin price the full p&p costings.

Politely asked? You know full well you took advantage of their low dsrs for your own ends. If not feedback extortion (which is almost certainly how it came across to seller) then it is definitely DSR extortion. Andif it transpired that my postal outlay ( which I was prepared to pay ) was vastly different to actual cost , then there was no way I would be able to help their DSR`SI would mark them accordingly if the price stamped on the packet didnt match the price they chargedpostage price was clear in the listingYou could argue that why refund at all if they were confident in the postage priceI'm not bad at golf, I just get better value for money when I take more shots!0

Wow patronising or what!
I think Custardy sums up the rest of my thoughts wellCustardy wrote:I think you have a bloody cheek
yes you can mark down DSR's and message a seller after you receive an item if the postage is massively under or packaging quality poor
however who the hell are you to tell a seller that you feel you shouldnt pay for packaging?
my blood is approaching simmer0 -

And is quite different to No point trying to sugar coat your tone now that you've been challenged. I'm also trying to figure out which is more pathetic, the fact that all this happened after you said or the fact that you are still trying to justify with You know full bloody well why they refunded, no matter how confident they were, some bloody twonk was still trying to extort money with a thinly veiled dsr threat, which the likes of soolin or cyberbob will tell you is almost as important as feedback.
you say potatoe and I say potatoe ( dosent work so good in type :rotfl: )
one persons heads up advice is another persons warning :AAs Martin says - please be nice - there is no such thing as a stupid question !0 -
