Elantan if you don't think you're filling your lungs properly, have you thought of trying the yoga deep breathing exercises, it might help. But if it is a problem you should see the Dr. I never used to have problems with hayfever, but over the last few years hayfever is getting worse, it started with tree pollen in feb/march, still going now, but basically even with anti-histamines I get a bit weezy at times, could it be something like that.

Oh, blister update, the blisters are getting better, basically I ended up using the big strip plasters and covering the whole of the heel. If I used smaller plasters they rubbed and I ended up with plaster sized blisters!!!

Forgot to say the gym is going OK, day 3 completed yesterday afternoon :)

well done see three days ... i am jelous ... i miss the gym boohoo

glad the blisters are ok too they can make such a diference to a workout run/walk etc ... i once couldnt do any serious walking for a week ... was chomping at the bit to do it as well

yes i think i do have hayfever and like you i am getting worse as the years go on ...i never used to have it but now i find my eyes start to water and i do have a kinda wheeze in my chest (but it isnt asthma) i dont like going to the drs (as i am sure alot of people on here know lol) but what i was thinking was trying to get in touch with a local beekeeper and seeing if i can get a jar of their honey ... i had hoped to be keeping bees myself in a few years time but i dont know if i will have the space for that

yoga breathing excercises ... right i have watched the d.v.ds and read the books and i think i am doing it right but not sure ... i would love to have someone watch me and let me know ... same with the chi running and pilates etc ... i dont have great hand eye body co ordination at all and often think i am doing things right when really i am miles off ... so i need instruction alot

i was at the basket making group at the weekend and i basically had to have someone sit next to me and correct me all the time ... it was something simple that i was doing but doing it differently and not getting the result i shouldve lol

The local honey is supposed to be good. The other thing to watch out for is if you've got feather pillows/duvets, they're becoming more of a problem for me too.

If it's hayfever I pay for the annual prepaid prescription thing anyway, so I've now got the Dr to add the hayfever tabs and eyedrops on repeat. I hate the Dr's too - but sometimes it's worth it :)

I use non-drowsey ones, but it's a matter of finding something that suits you.

I'm OK at home for pillows etc., but it's when travelling, lots of hotels use the feather ones, which reminds me I've got to ask them to change the pillows here.

ahhh yeah that is true for you .... do they tend to change the pillow easily enough for you ?

Normally it's no problem, you just phone housekeeping. The main hotel chains are used to people with allergies nowadays, so it's a common request. In a way it seems silly they don't do the hypo-allergenic as standard, but it's supposedly more upmarket to have the down ones.

How's the breathing and exercise today Elantan?

I'm managing to stick to the plan, actually managed to get upto 45 mins, a mixture of the machines (treadmill, rowing and crosstrainer), some mat work on abs, general exercises and a little bit of weights for the bingo wings!!! Weekend is time off to let muscles recover, although OH has said he might give it a go at the weekend, so would have to keep him company. Subject to weather we're catching the train to Amsterdam, and going to explore on foot, so will hopefully burn the calories that way.

I did think about trying Shred in the hotel room, but we're above conference rooms, and I know what it sounds like just when they're vacuuming the room above ours, I can't imagine what they'd think of me doing the jumping jacks :rotfl::rotfl:

    Have a good weekend :)
