  • Interesting stuff about the ACE scores and whatnot. There is a lot to be said for their research, but also a lot to be said for human endurance and the fact that we do and can overcome things. Hmm- i will be pondering even more now.

Taxi you are going through one of the most important times in your life ever right now ... It's funny how we tend to learn alot of lifes lessons through adversity isn't it ? When I read your diary now it's almost like Reading a different persons story .... I always knew you were strong and wonderful but I have to admit I enjoy Reading your journey much more now ( don't mean to sound offensive in saying that ) it's like your taking the bull b the horns and dealing with the whole of life ... You always have but just now you seem to have this amazing spark to you that I am loving to read about ....

Yep- totally agree with all of that:D:T

totally agree with you bob ... yes it can make a difference of that i am not doubting it ... but i think we also have the ability to change it ... i know i certainly am going to ... and i dont think it also is the full reason for me ...

thanks for the kind words kc ... but i dont feel as if i have achieved alot ... it has been a process and this is where i am currently thats all ... but i spose we do need to stop and smell the roses every now and then ... and drink in our achievements

Well hubby and I went shopping tonight ... We usually go to morrisons cause I fell out with asda ... But tonight it was asda cause we were so late getting there

I had spoken to hubby at length about this new plan etc and explained some of it to him... He was saying yeah go for it .... So I bought some glass containers to use for storage and then moved onto food looking for organic food ... Now either I went at the wrong time or asda do very very little organic stuff ...

So ultimatley I have more homework to do .... I think I will stop my learning here till I can get this hurdle crossed

so if anyone has any spare time on their hands can u check out organic food deliveries in Lanarkshire ... Or if u know of any organic websites give me a wee bell ... The search starts tomorrow

I don't know any answers to either of your questions, El, sorry, but I *do* know that you're right about Asda, they do comparatively little organic food when set against the other supermarkets. They're getting better, but they're playing catch-up.

But I am not going to be chucking what I have away just as I useit replace it I think

Some people do get over it and some don't. Myself and my brother had no help with our childhood experiences whatsoever, it is only now as middle aged adults that we are receiving anything and we are having to fight for that.

My childhood has affected me deeply in ways that you wouldn't expect and ACE scores show the impact, but don't cover all issues, eg there is no score for going into care, which could be a positive or a negative, but is a major experience for a child.

I find Ocado the best place for organics...they have nearly everything there online.
Asda have cut their range of organic stuff.
lidl do organicmilk, cheese, eggs and yoghurts and organic bananas and carrots
Booths..if they have any in scotland do a lot of organic stuff.
    hope that helps
