Yep in the Dee, where it is currently chucking it down :( we get sun for like a day or two and then rain, that seems to be the constant cycle at the moment!

Great University? Which one?! We have two, which are both quite good apparently, although I haven't been to either so I wouldn't know!

I take it you don't like Mr T's for shopping then either?

It's the Duncan Johnstone ( I think it's called) one ... She is a silversmith very good silversmith might I add ...

Mr t no that's on my hit list too ... Not a big fan of monopolisers that also have a bad reputation environmentally and ethically ... If I could I would only shop locally ... But my local fruit and veg shop wouldn't know what organic was if it hit them in the face .... Although the butcher does sell organic meat .... Maybe I need to
go back to meat eating .... Eh no don't think so lol

The weather is the same down this way too rain sun rain etc .... Great for the weeds not so great for giving me the time Togo pull them out and the midges arrrrrgggghhhh

Well I had a friend on the phone last night wanting me to phone hermother to get her mother to send her money .... Normally I would do that ( I did do that by the way) and then as soon as that Is done I would send her money too .... But I ain't doing it this time ... I have decided not to send her any money .... And there is the cynical part of me that wonders why did she phones and askme to phone her mum .... The rescuer part in me is getting more fussy ... It's still there just thinkng alot more first ... I proved that to myself through another friend
  • Can your friend not phone her Mum herself!? A grown woman I presume?!

Ahh she'll be at Duncan of Jordanstone, part of Dundee University. We also have Abertay University (they are well known for their computer gaming courses).

It sounds bad but I'm glad that the pup isn't allowed much exercise after her op when it's raining like this! :D

yes penny ( is it ok to call you that) thats what i wouldve thought ... which the cynical in me thought ... she is looking for money from you as well ...good job i am getting to grips with my rescuer syndrome ...

totally right though not to excercise the pup after an op ... she should be taking it easy along with you ... preparing for when she is better and will be running about daft ... you will need your energy then too lol
  • You can call me whatever you like, I answer to most things :p

Why is she looking for money from you as well? Do you owe her any money or is it that she is looking for you to bail her out...again? You should focus on yourself and the next time she phones say your not getting involved...if you can anyway.

Well OHs little sister is staying at ours for a few days as she is on her summer hols so has offered to watch the pup to make sure she doesn't pull out the stitches while we are at work. The two of them have mainly been sleeping on the couch and watching TV since the op! :p

  • Hey have PM'ed you about the Student Loans. They have loads of different numbers but I've sent you the one that always works best for me.

Also included some info about their repayment website.

    Hope it helps :)

the thing is i have bailed her out more times than i care to remember ... i used to bail her out an awful lot ... then one time i paid for her to go to dublin to meet a friend ... paid for the flight etc ... and she didnt even have the decency to go ... that day believe me i learned alot about me then ... i suddenly realised i was a resuer and i always put others first in front of me ... it has been hard work dealing with it all but i am getting there ( apart from the odd slip up) she however still expects me to be the same old el that will bail her out of anything and everything .... when she goes to her bank in a few days time and realises i havnt this time ... i think she might do a whole lot of realising about me as well lol ..

you know that does sound like a perfect way to spend a summer to me ...lazing around ... oh its such a hard life

thanks to pennys info i have phoned the student loans and found out i owe less than i thought .... i had it down to £10,000 but it isnt its just less than £8,000 and they havnt added any interest this year either ... now i am not in a desperate hurry to pay this off as i have a mortgage etc still to get rid of ... but i think i will make a token payment of say £20 a month so that when the time comes to finally pay it off ... i will not owe as much and should be able to pay it off faster

today i have cleaned my house oh it has sooo annoyed me for days i just havnt had any energy to do anything though as i am so tired ... but what i did was set the timer for 20 mins and got started in my bedroom ... after i did that i took 10 mins break came on here then went back to it for another 20 mins ... till eventually i finished ... so then i went out into the garden and spent 30 mins weeding ... oh i need to weed more its like a jungle out there ... but am taking a break just now and will go back to it later or maybe tomorrow ... gonna go look and phone organic places now... just found out ocodo dont deliver here sigh
  • No problem El (can I call you that? It's quicker to type! :p), I found that they are actually quite helpful.

Did you sort out details for the repayment website? Makes it so much easier to be able to view your balance quickly online than go through the whole phone queue system.

It's great news that it is £2k less that you thought it was :j
