sorry no good news the house is still a dream, unless we won the lottery tonight and i haven't been told yet.
i daren't look at what i would lose for a pension. I've not had mine long as i could never afford one but when i started my current job i couldn't afford not to have the pension.
i hope they don't bring in the redundancy policies i've heard about on the news, and if i find that it only applies to government employees then heaven help them!
oh must remember to do that 'any cost savings idea thing the government are asking for' we've a good idea of how they can save loads but i know it will get nowhere.0 -
We've definitely been hit by the retirement age changes, so from what I heard on the TV it's effectively an extra £100 to £150 pm needed into pensions to compensate for the retirement age changes for us.
Well done on getting the bras. It could be worth looking at M&S if you're near one and need a spare, they got good reviews for their sports bras on Good Morning last week, and sports bras do get very hot and sticky each wear unfortunately, especially in this weather. On the reviews on the site it does say that to get a good fit, people were having to try 38's if they were 36's. But they've got some at £16 at the moment.
Hope the running goes well.0 -
Is the Jillian Michaels book any good? The one thing about biggest loser that concerns me is the rate that they lose weight. If you lose weight quickly and have fatty liver the risk of damage is substantially increased due to the circulating fat and liver metabolism. Love biggest loser as a motivator, try and watch it every day and am going to get on my exercise bike again to it. ( I did do that, but it fell by the wayside, such is life!)
I have started having hormonal migraines and serious anxiety attacks I think are realted to PMS. I have self diagnosed as having general anxiety disorder which is why I 'bottled' my op. If people are scared of the dentist they get loads of compassion and help. What did I who is afraid of operations get - condemnation! I have lost 22 Kgs so ... onward and upward it is a slow road.
Starting CBT in August, so I hope it helps to put things in perspective, I need to work and can't until I get my fibroids sorted. I am not hiding behind them in order not to work, we can manage and my DH says in my own time, but I need to work I am bored stupid and it makes me too introspective.0 -
See never in my wildest dreams will I ever be able to save that amount each .... I opted to put £60 a month towards the mortgage
£700 a year x 10 years = £7000
£7000 divided by 25 = £280
£280 divided by 12 = £23.33
I figured we probably won't live longer than 10 years after retirement and if we do we won't really be fit to enjoy it ( we live ver unhealthy lifestyles) so I though putting £60 would be a good enough amount .... Enough to get us by0 -
I'm between a 34 and a 36 and had to get a 38 sports bras do seem that bit tighter don't they ... Will pop into m and s's when I have time off and check them out0

Well I have to admit I like the jillian michaels book as it helps me understand the endocrine system... It explains hormones to me .... I'm not Reading it as a diet book as I don't really believe in diets
What made u decide to go for CBT ?0 -

Patchwork cat - you've lost a magnificent amount of weight, well done you! How do you experience the difference at this stage?
El - I'm very saddened to read that your lifestyles are so unhealthy you think you won't make it much past 70you have a long time to change and repair the damage, you know... you can do it, if you focus. I hope you decide to give it a try.
