i've taken a leaf out of your book and posted in the insurance thread to see if can get advice about my issue.
I'm also reading with interest about your going cold turkey from sugar. I have an addiction to chocolate which i really want to kick but which i'm not sure i'm upto.

Sorry you are still having problems with the insurance. I know how you feel - when we were burgled a few years ago, we were referred to the fraudulent claims dept  The really stupid thing was that we were only claiming for a little over £1000 of stuff as at the time we really didn't have anything to steal! I said to the insurance, if I were to put in a false claim, don't you think I would have claimed for a state of the art sound system, mega big tv, and several games consoles rather than a few bits of cheap jewellery and a new yale lock!

Thankfully, they did pay out - not that it would have made much difference if they didn't because of the nature of what we lost, but because of the principle of the thing - they thought we were on the fiddle and we most definitely weren't

Well done on the sugar thing too - stick with it, it really is worth it. I have very little in my diet now, and don't get the cravings very often at all now.

oh hypno i really hope nothing like that happens to us .. we have lost alot of stuff £10k's worth and over £4.5k for the doors as well ...

today we spent a wee while clearing out the rest of the rubbish but left some as i dont want it to look bad ( but i think i will explain to the person what we have done just incase) ... we have got rid of most of the other peoples stuff took alot of broken things to the tip ... but we still have a few things to go ... like tyres for a bike which we dont in fact have ... i mean who has tyres for a bike they dont have ? my husband is saying i'm a hoarder and i am saying he is a hoarder ..... but i tell ya from now on neither of us will be hoarders ... the amount of broken useless junk that we had was unreal ... golf clubs hubby hasnt played golf in over 8 years ... so these clubs are his dads ... and our sons set of golf clubs as well ..

it is very very cathartic though it really is ... i would recommend gutting your house of everyone elses rubbish and everything that is broken in a weekend to anyone ... very very stressful but very worth it ...
