    Little update,

Still no chocolate. and this next bit is probably something you may not want to read. Last night I was doing my pieces being sans chcocolate and mum offered rice pudding and jam. I tell you the hit I got off the jam was incrediable. Really showed me how much sugar has an effect on me

Loss Adjusters apparently make sure you get a fair settlement - I *think* they are independant???

This is a leaflet from an insurers might help?

yes i have heard they are independant ... but i wonder just how independant ... who pays them for instance ... if it is the insurance company then they will want to keep repeat business with the insurance company so they can get paid ... and how does repeat business come about ? well the client has to be happy ... how would an insurance company be happy? not paying out for breakins often ... maybe i am a cynic but i am worried about it big time tbh ... thanks for the link will read it just now

ahhh sugar ... i can only imagine the rush from the jam mustve been amazing are you feeling full yet?

Oh Crap, Elantan, that is really !!!!!. Insurers are neccessary but getting anything out of them is flaming hard work.
Really sorry about the laptop - have they made a fuss about anything else?

yeah buffy they are saying that we are under insured they are sending the loss adjusters out to check our home to see if what we have left in the house is valued at any more that £8k that includes everything ... and if this is the case they might not pay out at all ... including the doors etc ... so basically i might be £10,250 loss in property ... then i might be £4500 in doors (roughly) and still have the pleasure of having paid them all the money i did ...

it seems it is a real possibility as well

Crikey El that is a nightmare scenario.

Might it be worth you speaking to a loss adjuster of your own, my mum and dad used one when they were broken into and then again when a commercial property they own and lease out had a fire. They had to pay them a % of the claim, but their adjustor made sure every last thing was included in the claim.

    (((hugs)))

I did think that if you were under insured then they paid out a lesser amount (where's that shoulder shrugging smilie when you need him)
