Sold Ipod Now Buyer wants money back saying Faulty!!!!

I do, you either want it or you don't.
If you don't want it thats fine but you return it before you get a refund.
This buyer has only made two [STRIKE]requests[/STRIKE] demands and they were;
1- give me all my money back and i'll keep the item too...
OR
2- ok then just give me £30 back and let me keep the item.
I'd say no, return for full refund or keep at price paid.
on the flip side, the buyer paid for an item the seller specifically misdescribed
as i suggested before, they could have used a 3rd party as an escrow
the OP was the one who was keen to do the partial
i dont know about the touch, but for my 5th gen i can source both OEM power switches and cases0 -
Ive given the refund
My god now hes saying its not in his bank ive spent the last hour telling him i have paid it over the counter at his bank and provided him with a over the counter stubb proof but he still saying its not in there
Ive given up
May be i have been Scammed0 -
you feel £30 is too much for a broken power button and undisclosed engraved(damaged) case?
Then engraving was missed out by the OP which he's admitted. The power button is only claimed to not work, which seems like a convenient excuse.
The buyer is quite clearly a scammer, and the OP would be an idiot to refund. If it's that "damaged", then he might as well return it for a full refund.
EDIT - just read the OP's latest post, and he's refunded! Muppet!Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -

this is from the AV forums threadYou PM'd me (after I paid) to tell me that "You've installed something that means you have to turn it on with the cable in". That being SBsettings
What you didn't tell me in another omission is that the Power button actually does not work AT ALL because it's a HW fault. I have reset the iPod to factory settings and it just doesn't work.
How can I possibly sell on an iPod with "Happy Birthday matt love bianca" and with a non-working Power button without losing a lot of money
Are you willing to refund me?
I have also PM'd you this message in the hope that you haven't just done a
runner with my money.
so there was an issue which again the OP didnt mention in the sale post
and the buyer asks for a refund0 -
ex postie u seem to be a member of AV Forums i guess not a MOD are u?
The Power button was working when i sent it ok i forgot to mention the engraving but like i said it didnt bother me funny thing is i have deposited the money in this jerks bank and he is still saying i havent paid it into his bank even though i have posted a pic of the counter reciept, oh and hes now disappeared and not saying a thing about the money
OH and i have offered him a full refund but only if he posted the ipod back to me so i could examine it and make sure it was mine

so lets get this straight
a few weeks ago i worked for eBay
then i worked for a parcel company
then another time i was a covert PR rep for Royal Mail
now Im a mod on AV forums
for you information,I registered to view the link in this thread
not that I need to justify myself
you are the one who withheld info on an item you were selling
or do you dispute theres an issue with powering on/off the unit
and it is engraved?
neither of which you chose to mention in the ad?
so i suggest you take care of you business and dont even think of diverting abuse to me,these shoulders are more than big enough to take it but they dont have to
my buyers dont get surprises when they buy from me0 -
Thanks for ur usefull comments as usual ex postie0
