  • How much was the course? I'm on a bit of a baking journey at the moment, ideally would like my own business too!

I've seen some of these courses around but at £100+ I was looking to see how useful people found them!

I have my own blog its called riversidebaking (I document baking disasters and all!)

    hiya :)
It was £99, here's the site: https://www.charmingcupcakes.co.uk. It was definitely useful, I've never used flower sugar paste etc before, so it was all new to me, plus useful tips on piping etc.
I'll check out your blog later :)

    Morning diary :)

Got on the dreaded scales this morning, not pretty  Have regained the pounds I lost in June/July, and they brought some friends :(

Need to get my bum in gear, there's 4 months until the end of the year, and I really need to lose a significant amount of weight by then, as we want to try for a baby next year, and I don't want to be pregnant and obese :o I need to lose 4 stones to be a healthy BMI, but I'm not sure I'll manage that before the new year. I'd like to lose a minimum of 2 stones, which would take me to a BMI of 29, and I'm going to set myself a target of losing 3 stones, which would put me at BMI of 27.

I always use all my christmas/birthday vouchers for clothes in the new year sales, but I want to start my 30s by buying a whole new wardrobe in a smaller size :D It's time to get fit and healthy, so I have the energy to run about after small children :j

Plan of action: exercise 4 times + a week, eat sensible balanced meals, avoid takeaways :money: and only drink alcohol 1 day a week (not that it's much more than that anyway, but often Friday and saturday nights)

Will try and update my exercise here, feel free to comment if I don't mention any for a few days :rotfl:

    Morning diary :)

didn't do any formal exercise yesterday, but did spend 2 hours rearranging a storeroom at work, got me very hot and sticky so hopefully it did some good.

We finished the last 2 cupcakes from my course for pudding last night, so no excuses for eating cake now (apart from the ones I have to make for family get-together on saturday, I'll try and stick to just 1 and leave the rest at home :o)

Tonight I'm going for my haircut, annoyingly my hairdresser has been promoted and it's much more expensive that when I started going to her, so am thinking of asking to go to someone else next time. Thing is, I really like her, and she's really good, so it's tempting to just pay the extra £12.

Am also going to hopefully go swimming, if I can fit it in, and pick up a leaflet about joining the gym. I find that I go loads around payday, and as money gets tighter through the month I stop going, as the classes have to be paid up front in cash. I figure if I get membership I can go throughout the month, and the same amount of money will stretch further. Now I just have to convince DH to join with me, as he also has a lot of weight to lose :( Anyway, going to get the prices for the council gym, and also the fitness first near us, as both have access to a pool and classes included.

Photo's not showing on my work internet and I want to see the cupcakes! :( Will have to look at home.

Sounds like you're very motivated and organised now for the weightloss, I'm sure you'll be able to achieve your target :)

well I failed to go swimming last night :( I was so tired when I got in that I sat down "just for 5 minutes" and only woke up when DH got in an hour later :o I obviously needed the sleep though, as it's unusual for me to just nap like that.

Also rang and cancelled my haircut, I think I can last another few weeks, and my budget is really tight this month. I'll ring and rebook it for after next payday.

Going shopping after work with my friend, and we're going to get some dinner, probably at Giraffe (yum! :p). Will attempt to choose something vaguely healthy from the menu, they do lovely salads :D I only need to buy some knitting supplies from John Lewis, I WILL NOT just pop into Bravissimo to see the new Pepperberry autumn collection. :p

Exercise will consist of walking around milton keynes shopping centre. I always feel like my legs are about to drop off when we're finished! :rotfl:

Nope, still not working, think it's just pesky work internet, will def try and get on at home tonight and look.

I've always wanted to try Giraffe - guessing you would recommend! :)

Don't talk Bravissimo - I'm in desperate need of some new bras and really trying not to spend the money at the mo!
