payday today, will check my bank at lunchtime and do any moving around that's required.
nothing else to report really, may go to cinema tonight, but we've got clubcard voucher tickets, so no big spends.Little monkey born November 2012:jFroglet due March 20160 -
Hey you,
I'm so glad that the funeral went well, it's a strange thing isn't it in that it's such a sad occassion but so nice in many other ways. I'm glad that you didn't have to worry about speaking to your Dad and his partner too, it's already an emotional day and having that to add to it would have just made it harder.
On another note, what are you guys planning to see at cinema? We haven't been in ages....off to take a peak now!
Take care xxx0 -
Harry potter, if DH gets home from work in time - I can't watch 3D films, I get a headache after about 10 minutes, and the 2D showings are quite limited, latest one is at 730!Little monkey born November 2012:jFroglet due March 20160

went to see harry potter last night, DH managed to leave work at 520, earliest for about 4 months! Film was really good, and we went to tescos first for snacks and snuck them in in my handbag, so didn't spend a fortune :money:
so glad it's Friday, this has been a long and stressful weekplan for tonight is to blitz the housework with DH as the house is a tip, there's camping stuff everywhere, and a tissue exploded in the washing machine so there are bits of tissue all over the floor from where I hung the washing on the airer
I'd be embarrassed if anyone came over, so it's definitely time for a tidy up!
DH is away tomorrow to help a friend move house, so I want him to help with the bulk of the cleaning tonight, as if I do too much I'm bound to set my back off. I'll do the remaining cleaning tomorrow, and then I have best friend coming over for a girly evening (pink wine + first 3 eps of the Glee project)
want to catch up on the gardening on Sunday - we cleared the borders earlier in the year and put in shrubs and bedding plants surrounded by a bark mulch, but some weeds have made it through so we need to weed, and then spread a new layer of mulch on the borders. We bought the mulch about 2 months ago bet it's been sitting on the patio in it's bags ever since
should be a relatively cheap weekend, although i'm thinking of nipping to Aldi after work, as they have cocktail liqueurs this week, and we're running out of triple sec. I think my cocktail habit isn't very MSE, but we only ever have 1 or 2 so the bottles last us ages, it's just the variety of things we now "need". last week I wrote a shopping list that included amaretto and dry vermouth :rotfl:Little monkey born November 2012:jFroglet due March 20160 -
Amaretto is a very important part of any shopping listDebt at LBM Apr 2010 £28,767 Debt free as of Nov 2013 :j0

it's a crucial ingredient in my fave cocktail - amaretto sour:
3 parts amaretto, 2 parts fresh lemon juice - pour into glass over ice and add a couple of cherries on a stick (essential:rotfl:), and a bit of orange peel if you're feeling fancy.
it's lush, all sharp/sweet sherbety yumminess. Think I'll have to have one tonight nowLittle monkey born November 2012:jFroglet due March 20160 -
managed to resist the Aldi liqueurs, as there's no space on our wine rack any more. Will just have to make cocktails that use the ingredients we have for a while :money:
nowt else to report, very peaceful weekend, lovely night in with my best friend on saturday, cooked dinner, nattered a lot and watched the first 3 eps of the glee projectlazy day on sunday, just went to church and then chilled out with my book and knitting until DH got home at about 3. Then had a nice evening together, despite his hangover lasting until about 9pm :rotfl:

paid all the bills yesterday, and signature duly amended. We're having a relaxed couple of months on the payments, as we have several weekends away etc booked. Have managed to balance transfer some cash from 20% to 6.9% though, and just waiting for DH's new cap 1 card to arrive so I can transfer from that as well (he went to give me the card number to find it had expired in february)
