Thanks guys, went ok, she seems very good. She did a lot of manipulations so very sore atm but should feel better tomorrow. Apparently I have a mechanical problem in L4-5 which has caused the joints to become inflamed, hence the pain. Going back next weekend for another treatment and will get some exercises to do then. Been told not to run for this week, but hopefully the week after will be ok to start again.
We were planning to see harry potter at the cinema tonight, but will put it off til tomorrow or during the week, don't think I can sit still for that long.

    Morning Diary :)
Not much to report from me, was completely exhausted yesterday - slept til about 11am and only woke then up cos DH decided it was cold in the sitting room so put the heating on, and I woke up sweltering in the bedroom! Back better than it was on Saturday, but no better than before the physio, as far as I can tell. Think it's the sort of thing that will take several treatments to improve, but I'm really fed up of the pain so not feeling very patient

Went to see Harry Potter last night, thought it was better than some of the earlier films, but still disappointed in how much they leave out (I love the books, have been reading them since number 1 was released back in the 90s!). I tend to dislike most film adaptations of books I've enjoyed though, so I don't go to see most of them, in case it spoils any future re-readings!

Busy week ahead, lots of labwork to get on with, and it's our Christmas do on Thursday night. Also pub lunch with the girls tomorrow if I can get my experiment started on time in the morning, all depends on the skin delivery turning up and stores telling us that it's arrived (this is the most difficult bit, getting them to admit that the parcel has arrived on site! :rotfl:the power of being in charge of the stores!!)

    Afternoon Diary :)
Wow, been crazy busy the last 2 days, just sat down at my desk for the first time since Monday afternoon! I love days when I'm busy in the lab, the day flies past and it's hometime before you know it.

Pleased to report that my back is feeling much much better, so looking forward to physio on saturday, which will hopefully keep it improving. (as long as I don't do myself an injury in my new extra high heeled shoes on Thursday night, must practice wearing them tonight!)

Nothing to report on the money front, all bills paid as expected, and have most of my Christmas shopping finished. Still need to get something for uncle and secret santa gift for sister no1 (hairdryer requested, so will argos on next payday!), plus DH's bits for his stocking, but they're easy to sort out and the same every year (Chocolate orange, chocolate pennies, book or dvd, christmas socks or pants and a silly toy) so will leave them til next payday!
DH needs to sort out his dad's christmas and birthday, and his stepmum's christmas, but we've done his mum, both brothers and stepsister.:)

Going home for family lunch on Sunday as sister no2 is THIRTY! Scary thought, as that reminds me that next Christmas I'll be 30 as well  Where did my 20s go, and how come I don't feel any more grown up than when I went to uni?! :rotfl:Still, I'm hoping that my 30s will be a fabulous decade, plan to get debt free, buy a house and have babies so it will be eventful at any rate!

Will try and catch up on everyone's diaries tonight Jxx

    Afternoon Diary :)
We've finally got some proper snow, DH took one look out of the window this morning and said "I'm working from home" and got back into bed for an hour! Cheeky git! Sadly I have no laptop, and had an all morning "performance culture" briefing, and labwork to do this afternoon, so I couldn't blag a snow day :(

Works christmas party tonight, so hoping to head home about 330ish to get ready, have to meet the coach at 615, but will be taxi'd straight to my door on the way home. :j Wore new shoes while making the dinner last night (for practise!), I kept banging my head on the cooker hood. I'm glad I'm not 6'2" in real life :rotfl:Shouldn't need to spend much tonight, as there's wine with dinner, have got about £15 so will have to make it last once the wine runs out. Last time we had a proper Christmas event the money the committee had put behind the bar only just ran out by the end, so may not even spend that, fingers crossed.

Head not too bad, but completely knackered. Didn't get in until 12.35, but still made it to work for normal time. Definitely an early night for me tonight! Part was brilliant, great atmosphere, lovely venue and food. Only spent £4 as well, so that was a result as there was a rumour that there would only be 1 glass of wine each with dinner and that drinks were about £6! :j
Had a bit of an eventful time getting to the party though, had to meet the coach so DH drove me to the bus stop, but the pavements were so covered in snow that I fell over while I was getting on the bus, dropped my handbag in the gutter! And I was the last pick up, so everyone saw me! :o When we got to the venue the coach driver dropped us off a really long walk from the door, and the snow was really slippy, so I had to whip my shoes off and go barefoot or I would have broken my neck! If I'd known there was a proper cloakroom I would have worn other shoes and taken my heels with me, but I didn't want to be carrying a bag of shoes around with me all night! :rotfl: Anyway, bruised knee and dignity, but luckily tights stayed intact and I didn't really hurt myself!

Very quiet in the office today :rotfl:
