    Afternoon Diary :)
Having a good day today, it's CIN, and we always have an amazing cake stall. I made a batch of scones* last night and nipped to Tesco for clotted cream at 7 this morning! The checkout lady gave me an odd look!! :rotfl:(*lily's scones from Nigella "how to be a domestic goddess", definitely recommend the recipe, dead easy and they're really delicious) Have just eaten a delicious homemeade cornish pasty for my lunch, it was totally lush, must ask the lady who made them for the recipe!

Ploughed through my self-appraisal this morning, so it's ready to send to my boss after one more proof read this afternoon. Been putting it off for 3 weeks, but it's due on monday so I thought I'd better get on with it! :o Have also sent my first study report to the reports administrator for formatting, so it's ready for the review process which starts on Monday, today is definitely a day of ticking off lots of bits on my to-do list!:)

Payday today, so have done all my transferring to j/acc etc, but most bills not paid until 26th now, so will need to wait to update snowball and signature until then. Going to be an expensive month, so keeping some back from the snowball for that, ready to kick on in the new year though.

    Afternoon diary,
Having a productive day so far, laundry up to date, bed changed and a good start made on my Christmas shopping. Plus the shoes that I liked in the sale were still there so DH bought them for my present! So pleased, as I really liked them but I couldn't justify it! He's putting them away until Christmas though, with the exception of my work do on the 2nd, so I can't wear them tonight *pouts a little*

Oooh new shoes :j, I have so many shoes now, but a lot of them are really high heels and I just can't walk in them anymore :(, I don't think being overweight helps as it's a lot more pressure on the balls of your feet!

At least you get to wear them before Xmas :D

My new shoes have VERY high heels, but I love them. They're actually really comfy, as the platform sole means it doesn't feel like such a high heel. Plus they make me about 6'2" which I love! Still so chuffed that they were actually still there, 2 weeks after I'd first seen them in the sale :j Shame they weren't reduced any further. Had a good time shopping on Saturday, sorted out quite a few presents for people. I also got a new black cord skirt from the Mantaray range in Debenhams, 20% off so pleased with that, and some new patterned tights from dorothy perkins with £6 on giftcard leftover from last Christmas! lovely weekend :)

Spent most of yesterday chilling out, but did also get up to date on laundry, turn the mattress, set up the hanging rail in the small spare room and unpack the last box of clothes (suits etc not worn often). Also sorted through my uni textbooks, have brought the useful ones to work, and will think about selling the rest. Hoovered all through the downstairs, still haven't mopped though! Laminate floors are a pain. We find enormous hair bunnies under all the furniture, I'm amazed I have any hair left, the amount we hoovered up yesterday.

Since DH and I sorted out some of our Christmas and birthday pressies at the weekend, I thought I'd better write a list of what I have/need to get or i'll forget!: (bold = still to get)

Aunt: Necklace (birthday) Nigella Kitchen (Christmas) (bookpeople on site tomorrow, should get it cheap)
    Uncle:Christmas: ??
Sister no 1 (Secret santa): Hairdryer
    Sister no2: 30th birthday: ???? Housewarming gift: ??
Nieces 1&2 + nephew 1: homemade cardies, need to knit like a fiend to finish all of these in time! (nephew's gap-style cardie is taking an age, I made a sleeve and left front panel at the weekend, but so much left to do , may have to swap to the others as he's too little to know if it's late :rotfl:)

DH mum: Madmen DVD (Christmas), necklace/bracelet (Birthday)
DH brother no1: Chris morris DVD(Christmas), Birthday: PS3 game, DH not sure which to get.
DH Brother no2: Ski hat & socks (christmas & birthday), ski guide to verbier - can't find one, seeing him and GF for last time for a year on wednesday!
DH dad: Christmas: ??? Birthday: ???
    DH stepmum: Christmas: ??
    DH stepsister: Christmas: ASOS vouchers

BF: Glee annual + yellow JLS condom (for comedy reasons only)! (Christmas), Harry Potter lego board game (Birthday)

Plus need to write and post christmas cards next weekend, including our new address for those folks not on email/facebook.
