I'm hoping to get some decent sleep this weekend. Probably not though - why is it that during the week I really can't wake up when my alarm goes off, but at the weekend I wake up earlier than that and can't sleep?! My brain hates me!
Not much planned for tomorrow, not sure what the plan is for our friend's birthday, we can only go if it's free/cheap, so planning a quiet night in. Got loads of things to finish knitting before Christmas so need to get a move on with those. I'm making a gorgeous baby-Gap style hoodie for my new nephew, but it's made of such fine wool that it's taking me forever. I've done the back, and half of one of the sleeves, and it's taken me over a week. Normally I'd have a baby cardy almost finished in a week. 2 more cardies to make for nieces as well, so I think I might run out of time, or develop RSI in my hands!
Going to family party on Sunday, the one where I'll have to see my dadstill dreading it, not sure how I'm going to react. The last time I saw him was at my Nannie's 80th and I ended up throwing up from the stress (as quietly as possible so no one would hear me :rotfl:). Also not keen on meeting the new wife.

On our way back from the party, it went fine. No nasty scenes, I just tried to stay in a different room to my dad and replied politely when he tried to talk to me. Still feeling sick though, and completely exhausted, not much sleep last night. Hopefully the next time won't be so bad.Little monkey born November 2012:jFroglet due March 20160

Afternoon Diary
Not much to report today, feeling completely knackered after the weekend, and my back is very bad after 5 hours in the car yesterdayHoping I'll hear from the physio this week about an appointment.
Three more days to work before payday :j plenty of food in the fridge/freezer, but I'm running low on petrol. Hoping I'll be able to squeeze another 3 days out of it, might have to be cheeky and ask my carshare to drive weds/thurs when he's back, although I only drove us 3 days last week before his holsLittle monkey born November 2012:jFroglet due March 20160 -
Pleased to hear the party went ok, that should make things easier for the wedding.
Fingers crossed for a speedy appointment xLBM Aug 09: £18,650.47 - Current: £12,854.93 (£5946.79)

I am glad to hear that the weekend wasn't too bad for you hun, sometimes it's the anxiety at the situation that's worse than the event itself!
I've got plenty of petrol but no food at the moment, do you want to swap? :rotfl:

nah, I'd rather eat than drive to work ta, plus I don't have enough fuel to meet you midway for a swap! :rotfl:
I think I'll get one more day out of my tank, and technically it's carshare's week to drive (although we only shared 3 days last week), but he's not back until Thursday, so hoping he'll offer to drive. Otherwise will have to fill up using CC and pay it off when I get paid on Friday from next month's petrol money.Little monkey born November 2012:jFroglet due March 20160 -
Had to fill up with petrol after all, the light came on when I was driving home yesterday! Had to put it on my CC, but will pay it off on Friday when I get paid.
Back worse again today, and heard nothing from the physio. Will give it til the end of the week and then ring the GPs to ask about referral letter.
I feel like it should be at least Thursday by now, last night I really couldn't believe it was only Tuesday! This has been such a slow week so far, probably because i've spent all my time at work battling with some data processing software that won't work in the way I need it toso frustrating! Luckily our contact at the manufacturer is going to get someone to write us a patch to add the enzyme we're using to the software properly. This is rather than the bodge job he did the last time he was here, which doesn't work and comes up with 197723 potential fragments of our protein when we process (therefore leading to the software crashing!) I seem to have spent the last week watching the progress bar creeping up to 45% and then sticking! It really doesn't help that this work is high priority, and the project leader asks me about it every time we pass in the corridor!
