found a cat & her 1 day old kittens

Kittens eyes should open at about two weeks, and they will start walking around then too.
If you put a litter tray in the shed around then, mum will hopefully show them what to do with it.
RE: having a cat flap etc. It's best to keep them indoors until they can be neutered (at 6 months).
We used to shut the kitchen door, so our cats had the run of the kitchen and garden during the day - as otherwise they made themselves very comfy on the beds, or brought home "presents".
I'd plan on trying to get Mum neutered sooner rather than later - eg. Make an appointment with the vet when kitties are 6 weeks old, as it may take a couple of attempts to catch mum!!!
Kittens will be eating solids etc by then, best to keep the litter together until they are 8 weeks old, as the socialising, playfighting etc is part of their developement. They will need to be seperated from mum until her stitches come out.
Good luck, and it sounds like you are doing a great job!0 -

I've never had cats and don't fancy them being in my bed or peeing/pooing everywhere but I suppose by tge time they are ready to go outside they should be house trained!heads just a bid of a muddle at the mo!I kinda want them outside so they can do what they want rather than being couped up in the house all day.
I suppose I won't really know for sure until we get them and see how we get on!
Their mother will train them. I've only ever bought pedigree cats & they don't sell them till 13 weeks (don't know why its different for moggies & pedigrees, they are all cats) anyway, they come ready trained, their mother teaches them.
I've never had any trouble with peeing-pooing. I did try the litterkwitter training, but George was too dumb so we had to abandon it.
I'm thinking of getting a cat flap because I hate them being locked out if I'm out. I worry something might happen to them.0 -
pouches are v expensive for what they are: tins are better value for money - I would have imagined she would want a tin a day...... A feeding cat will want alot of food - as much as she will/can eat basically!
Worming is deffo a good idea as you don't want the food being `diverted'!0 -

hope this works! im guessing you have to click on the link!
another wee kitten died
so we have only got 2 left
we think a tom cat tried to get in2 her shed so she attacked him (the tom cat's face was covered in blood yesterday)
thankfully the moma is showing no signs of unjury but maybe thats what happened to the kitten - think the kitten was a girl and when my dad noticed her she was at the side of the box gasping, trying to breath! gutted
hope its not our fault 0 -
Awww sorry to hear you lost another kitten, of course it's not your fault! Mum would have been on her own trying to feed herself as well as the kits if it wasn't for your care, you are giving them a chance they never had. Even the best breeders lose kittens, it just happens.
Cute photo, reminds me of the litter I hand reared from about 3 days old. 4 kittens were found on some waste ground and after watching for Mum to return for 10 hours there was no sign of her so the local Dog Warden bought the kits to me. I lost one but the other 3 all made it. I still have one, she's about 14 now
How time flys!
Good luck with Mum and Kittens xSome days you're the dog..... most days you're the tree!
