  • well, after one disastrous trial run with my mega cupcake mould, I have just baked the one that I will be decorating and giving on Wednesday. I have to say it definitely needs a LOT of cooking, but its come out ok, apart from the top where a couple of the grooves are missing but I can cover that with the icing!!

Im icing it tomorrow night, along with 3 dozen "normal" cupcakes lol so will take pics and post on here later :o
You're so very special, I wish I was special

Hi Awsome and Stardrops, I made my postman pat practice cake yesterday and it turned out ok. The receipe that Stardrops gave me turned out lovely thankyou. I have decorated it fully and noted down a few little tips for improvement for the final one this weekend. I have brought it into work and its nearly gone and everyone has said how lovely it is. I will take a picture of the one I make this weekend and post it on here. It does take ages to make I spent all day yesterday in the kitchen but it will be worth it when i see my nephews face on his birthday.

Nice to have another Yorkshire lass on here. :j

Well done :T carnt wait to see the piccys
  • If anyone lives near a Boyes store then they have a big cupcake mould for about £7 in my local one so it might be worth a look.

How long do you reckon it took for your giant cupcake to cook??? Did you use the silicon mould for it?? TIA.

Look forward to seeing your pics.

    Hello everyone

It's gone all quiet on here - I have been baking loads but not putting pics on - so I'll still them all on at once now...

I got my cupcake mould from ebay - it was a silicone one which i paid about £10 for it

I'm going to have a go at a topsy turvey cake next week - it looks complicated - has anyone done one and do you have any tips??
