Happy Birthday Serena hunny.....hope you had a lovely day.

I really like the fact we get texts from the school re school dates, exams etc, working full time means I do not have enough of me left after a busy week at work to remember everything that I need to, plus my Lyme Disease means I get foggy headed too so I appreciate any reminders about anything....because my brain can only hold so much info and I need prompts.

    Hello everyone:A
Have been MIA last week due to having to write 5 sets of reports in 2 days (procrastinator? me !!) but my house looks pretty good as I had been doing that instead of getting them done! Have had new blinds fitted today and they look lovely, now need to shorten my curtains, buy a pole and put them up!

Big hugs to PIGPEN, Toots and Lady L , hope you are all ok, haven't caught up for so long.:A:A:A
And a big hug for everyone else too. Thifty xx

AnW's mum - didn't mean to keep my birthday quiet - but decided not to start celebrating until after the observations!

Thank you again for all the good wishes everyone!

Toots - no more scares like that please!!! Much love and hugs.

Triker - my children's school doesn't do reminders - but they do ring up anyone who is missing 15 mins before the exam starts. DS1 has some difficulties with organisational and planning things - all those executive skills, and so anything like reminders is absolutely great for him. He's dyspraxic, and so found it tricky even before the encephalitis. I think one of the things that is hardest about any kind of brain difficulty, is that it mostly doesn't show...

TD on - my electricity measurey thingy came yesterday, and I have to say I may need to invest in some pegs . Small boys are doing some very 'troll in a cold pork futures warehouse' style measuring of what each thing costs to use :rotfl:. Ironing, hoovering and washing are all now forbidden apparently :p. I am however allowed to make some buns whilst the oven is on.
Good to see they've got their priorities right :D
Ooooh, do tell, as Jinky appears to be keeping her cards very close to her chest ;)
Glad you like the turbines... I love the ones at Goonhilly, and the one on the M4 at Reading.... as for telling, I was right in my suspicions... one of my colleagues has announced that he's fallen in love with me ... but at least I was prepared, and hopefully I'm dealing with it OK. Not as well as I should, but hopefully without too much fall out.
:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: Can you please tell me what you bought and from where? I'd like one but have no idea what to get :o
I'm bored with mine... want to borrow it?

ETA - toots... please behave and stop scaring us!

Oh and I am holding a collection for a paper bag to shake toots up in :D fancy giving us all a fright like that! Seriously I hope things are a lot better today and that it has not delayed your escape at the end of the week. We shall have to organise an escape committee and start digging tunnels to get you out ;)
Maybe a spycam to keep an eye on her as well?
Seriously toots, you need to start behaving yourself.

    hi all

sorry not to have been on this week, has been quite a busy one and the heat wiped me out - i've also been trying out various different routes home from work as there's a new trainline open...now have a viable alternative to my usual route - it's not any quicker but it's nice to ring the changes sometimes!

toots - that sounds scarey, you take care. at least you were in the right place!

flying wise the place is ok, dh did some dysoning tonight and I will clean the bathroom tomorrow. My parents are coming tomorrow until sunday. they're saying with in laws up the road though as i've been using the spare room this week (or dh has!) as the heat has made it difficult for me to sleep. I quite like having my own single bed but don't want to get into the habit of it too much!
