Welcome to the weekly Flylady thread. If you need help organising your week when it comes to housework, or just the motivation to do the dreaded housework tasks you have to do, come and join us, hopefully make it a little easier. You never know, you might start to enjoy it!
Following requests to start things steadier for new members who did not realise the tasks list wasn’t a must do, just an encouragement. There will now be level 1, 2 and 3. Level 1 being very basic it has been requested that this is just one task per day, level 2 in the middle, up to 3 which is more advanced and time consuming. If you want to do level 2 you add the tasks on level 1 with the level 2 tasks, if you want to do level 3 you add the tasks on, easy peasy. Choose a level to aim for but be realistic, if you’ve got a busy day on or are just starting etc aim for level one, if you get higher then great, if not then not to worry its only suggestions. Every room comes back around next week. Trust me some days I'll only be doing level one myself.
THESE LISTS ARE ONLY SUGGESTIONS AND NOT A MUST DO LIST, ALWAYS WELCOME TO POST AND FOLLOW YOUR OWN.
Also adding a declutter mission each day. Another one where it’s up to you if you want to do it or if you need to. This follows requests from members who are looking to declutter. Fling boogies, hotspot clearing, cupboard sorts, drawer sorts etc will all be on this list. Any problems with this or any suggestions do please let me know.
A few of the basics before we start the week
Hotspots are any areas which if one thing gets put there, loads of other things follow!
Daily routines/todailies are anything you need to do today and every day stuff like laundry, swish and swipe kitchen and bathroom, ironing, making beds, vacuuming high traffic areas, making meals etc
Night-time routines are all things which make getting ready in the morning easier, preparing clothes for the next day, making lunches, swish & swipes of the kitchen and tidying the living room before you go to bed plus personals like shower/brush teeth etc.
Fling Boogie/binbag dance - stick on some loud music, grab a binbag and whizz around the house finding items that can go out with the rubbish, recycling, for charity shop, basically anything that will stop it cluttering your home.
Swish and swipe/S&S means have a quick wipe over an area such as a sink or toilet to prevent the build up of dirt. This is usually done on a daily basis
HHE/HHC/HHI Half Hour exercise/challenge/ironing ... run around for 30 minutes to the Benny Hill music frantically cleaning, exercising or ironing.. other music may be used if you prefer!
5GC five minutes gardening.. make it lovely for your family and enjoy it!

I'm in, hopefully for more of this week than last week. Mum is coming to take some stuff home at the weekend, so need to sort things out to go with her.

Ok, been a looooonnnng time since ive Flyed but gonna try and join in this week. This house resembles a small war zone right now, so here goes nothing .....
BTW, reading the list of abbreviations and :rotfl::rotfl: @ SOAADFA!!! Oh how i wish LOL!!0 -
ooh my bank account is full of moths lol..
Toots.. the 'star giver' status needs to be removed from your name!
I have a busy week planned.. inc. more flinging, a bit of loft raiding and some gutting of the back room and kitchen!! I want to completely empty and clean every cupboard in there.. and I need to refind the table in the back room.. and I am considering looking at prices for new carpet for in there too.. it is pretty manky the one that is down due to high foot traffic.. I am considering laminate for it TBH.. and a wood burning stove which I know I cannot afford right now.. though.. if we disconnected the fire and sold that it might be doable.... If course I would need to slop on another coat of paint..... is is cream emulsion on all 4 walls so nothing too elaborate!
I also aim to knit at least 2 more cardigans for the baby this week..
ambitious .. me???? ... nah!!!
I have loads of guff to deposit at charity shop and at the tip and some to go to nursery too..
WHY is my house still full of stuff when I have spent 10 years throwing stuff out and flinging???LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
For several weeks now I've lurked (though many moons ago I did used to sometimes post), sometimes I've roughly followed the days list. This week I need to follow as on Friday we go away. :j
The house has been 'roughly done' over the w/end, some areas/rooms better than others. Sooooo I have 5 days to tidy a 3 bed house, and get ready to go away. I also have an interview, an appt, a 1/2 day course. visit a grandparent and need to get into town for holiday money and some last minute bits. _pale_ I've put my DD who is often on packled lunches on school dinners this week to save me some time in the morning. Husband is likely to be working liong hours this week as he gets ready to go on hol. (Part of his project is taking place whilst we're away- but that is Tuff! We have re-arranged several hols over last few years-that they re-arranged yet again after we booked is not my problem- but it is the reason why hubby won't be about too much to help).0 -
I'm in this week too, I really need to get my rear into gear and do some proper housework i.e in depth cleaning..ugh!!! It doesn't need it but for some reason I actually want to do some..lol
Have watered the garden, and Ddog Jet - he ended up wetter than some of the veggies..lol. Fed the blessed birds outside - Mr and Mrs Dove were waiting for me, and Woody the pigeon was having a funny five minutes in and out of the tree above my head..lol
Ddoggy Bear has gone to bed upstairs - he has given up I think and took himself off to bed about an hour ago..bless him. Jet is asleep in the dog bed under the t.v. with all his teddies, snoozing awayDon't know where the moggies are, although I imagine Ollie is waiting for DH to go upstairs so he can get his own back on him - DH trod on his tail while he was eating his bowl of cat food..Ollie was not impressed I can tell you. He went skulking out of the kitchen at a rather fast speed yowling - he isn't hurt I have checked him over, he's okay. Just his ego is wounded!!
Am lazing on the sofa watching "An Audience with Michael Buble" while DH is playing scrabble on his DS. Just another evening in our house..lol
Have to try and sort out a new outdoor sensor for the weather thingy, for some reason they are not talking to each other after changing batteries etc. Grrr!!! Thankfully I have some evouchers for Amazon so it looks like they will be used for this. Not sure whether to buy a new sensor or just buy a new weather thingy..will check to see which is cheaper..
All this talk of HM lollies is making me think of doing them tomorrow - although I quite fancy instant whip ones..mmm!!

Piggers - when you run out of stuff to do in your own house, can you come down here and do mine please?
Back garden mowed and watered.
Also did some digging today.
And got rather pink as I decided a bikini was the most suitable thing to garden in ...
Think I might have a bath and a (for me) early night.0
