    Thank you!!!
For all the birthday wishes, and that fantastic cake Pen-Pen - which is almost as wonderful as the one that DD baked for me!!!:D

DS1 cooked dinner, thai salmon, nomnomnom!

I've just done a teensy bit of work for tomorrow, while everyone else did the washing up - for once, I get to miss it. I did watch the Chelsea coverage as well. I've just worked out that I could have gone this year - I don't work Friday...

I just have to do the weekly shop online, and then I'm chilling for the rest of the evening.

And waste everyones time by ringing the parents of the children who have had fewer than 15 days off school in the 5 years they have been there.. who are obviously too stupid to read a timetable they have been given in triplicate. And she is support staff not a teacher.. and usually very nice...

I'm with Dusty on this one. Maybe not appropriate for your household but very much appreciated by others. My SSs are useless at stuff like that (and lie about when exams are!), their mother more so because she is too busy and too clever to pay attention to what they do. We would willingly pay for the school to tell us when they had exams, parents evenings, etc. We get copies of reports from school but that is it.
:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: Can you please tell me what you bought and from where? I'd like one but have no idea what to get :o...

It was free from my energy provider, npower. You can borrow them from libraries (in leics and derbyshire that I know of so I am guessing elsewhere), or if you wait a month or so till I have got bored you can borrow mine :D. Having read the paperwork it is a 'smartpower energy monitor'. It has a transmitter thing that clips round one of the meter wires and a wireless receiver that says in pence, kwh etc how much we are using.

DW emptied and refilled yet again. I must iron at least one work shirt, but I really, really dont want to.

Well done for going and I hope the smoke from Coalite isn't choking you - I'ts quite upset me (used to work there) - I could see the FLAMES from the Eckington/Chesterfield Rd:eek:

Can't say I have seen any smoke, I presume it is a bad fire there.

The school thing was a complete and utter farce  there were 3 parents there out of two class full of children. We only had the letter about the meeting on Monday afternoon so there was little or no time for those that wanted to attend to make work/child care arrangements. Then the resources and help for the nurse were non existent and as a result the session overran and I had to leave before the end to get W.

I shall be emailing the acting head to register my dismay and copy it to a governor I happen to know quite well.

Happy Birthday Serena :bdaycake: you kept that quiet this morning!

Oh and I am holding a collection for a paper bag to shake toots up in :D fancy giving us all a fright like that! Seriously I hope things are a lot better today and that it has not delayed your escape at the end of the week. We shall have to organise an escape committee and start digging tunnels to get you out ;)
