Once again THANK YOU TPA for your hard work and the motivation to lose weight, a few years ago I lost 4 stone but put 6 back on. Not since then have I felt that yes, I can do it, and I will.
My weigh in day is a monday, and mortgage pay day will be a thursday (pay day.) Good luck eveyone, this thread is gonna be mega.
  • Thanks for the welcome and thanks to taka for the food focus link. Just bookmarked it and filled in this morning's breakfast.

To make things easier, I'll also weigh in on Wednesdays before I go to work, although I'll have to report in a day early next week, as I'm away for a few days.

Thanks TPA - I'm afraid the mortgage freedom comes before the quality of hotel for this year so no Wynn for us in 2010. That being said, we're spending the last three nights in the Bellagio in a fountain facing upgrade room (one of my many compromises to ensure the girlfriend's reluctant MFW support). We'll definitely get the Wynn and Encore involved next year!

We walk everywhere in Vegas so I normally lose a wee bit of weight on holiday. I was amazed last year that I had only put on 5lbs upon coming back from a 4-week holiday as we had the MGM Grand buffet morning, noon and night every day of our trip. Needless to say, we won't be back there at all and we'll be somewhat sparing with our buffet trips this time round.

We've been downtown every trip bar the first but normally only for a wee shot in the morning, a bit of shopping at the premium outlets then a few jumbotron shows at night. They've got a summer of the 70's thing going on this year with Queen and Kiss on the jumbotron so we'll spend at least a couple of nights on Fremont Street in July.

For those who haven't fallen asleep with Vegas-related boredom, today has been a decent enough day thus far on the weight loss front. Muller rice and crunch corner for breakfast and once again no lunch (I'm sure this doesn't help in the long run) - fajitas planned for dinner and my normal vitamin c overload of 10 satsumas thereafter for snacking. I realise this likely doesn't conform to any proper diet but I'm going on the general rule that an intake of somewhere around 1500 calories a day will surely see me lose the weight. Half an hour of yoga this morning and planning a (weighted) walk for an hour this evening. Girlfriend is ill so that idea may be bashed on the head in favour of playing nursemaid...

Off to see what this food focus malarky is! EDIT - oh dear - something like this isn't good for my OCD-ish nature!

    Cheers,

    Billy
