Count me in.
Michelle - SAHM to a two and a 3 year old. Surrounded by biscuits, crisps, cake and ice cream all the time and it has resulted in me being age 31, 5ft 6, and 12 st 3 Ib. So I want to reduce that to around 11st before i go away with my DH in August, and my ultimate aim is to get back to 10st7, or if i am feeling really good, even 10st. Haven't been at that level for about 10 years. Even on my wedding day i was 11st10.
I don't want to do owt daft like throw myself out of a plane. I would be happy if i could fit in my clothes without feeling fed up and i wasn't so unfit.
Well done taka and gallygirl for progress so far. Also thanks taka for the website link. I will have a look although i am not sure i could calorie count fully again, i have had good results doing it before. I was totally anal about it though and it took a lot of time i don't currently have. Currently thinking the WW no count might be an option as i mainly cook from scratch and can probably adapt for DH and the kids. I won't have time to cook special faddy bits for me and something else for them.
Good luck everyone.0 -

If I have had a blonde moment someone please slap me, if anyone has alrady lost weight please let me know and we can add this on also.:D
I make my target 1st 10Ib. But if you want to knock me 2 Ib off already who am i to argue
I wasn't saying you were daft. I just think it would be crazy for me to jump out of a plane. You must be perfectly sane
Taka - relief - i will try it out then starting tomorrow. I like the first look in that you can add together ingredients to make meals so as long as i cook similar meals i could save some time. Thanks again.0 -

OK, have lost 16.5lbs which makes starting weight 15st 5.5 . So do you want to amend my target to be 3st 5.5lbs :eek:A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effortMortgage Balance = £0

Hello everyone!
Thanks TPA for starting this thread. Cos I've already been reading other people's diaries on here for a while, I feel as if I'm amongst friends, which hopefully should strengthen my resolve... Having said that, I'm sitting here with a cup of tea and a couple of shortbread biccies catching up on the events of the day... how bad is that?
Anyway, by way of introduction, I am 42 years old, 5'6" and weigh... gulp! 13 stone 5lbs. That is so bad. I would like to get down to 10 stone (which is more than enuf) but guess that I need to take it one step at a time.
Hence, my first goal is to drop a stone to 12 stone 5lbs.
This time, I really must follow things through. My idea is to try and follow the principles of the Slimming World diet, on which I lost about 1.5 stones a few years ago, but in as much of an MSE way as possible. Therefore I'm really keen to share recipes etc with anyone else who's thinking about it in the same way...

Thanks for the foodfocus link Taka... I've just entered my detail and have seen my data pop up as borderline 'obese' if that's not a motivant, I don't know what is...0 -
Do we have a set weigh-in day? Mine's normally Friday so if I have a disastrous weekend eating-wise then I've got time to repair the damage(!), but I can switch to Monday if everyone else is.0

Ok converting mine from kilo to stones
Starting weight 13.11
Target 12.8 before end of July
Long Term Target 11.11 (2 stones)
Been good last week 3 times in the gym and 1 round of golf. Also only 5 glasses of alcohol. However there were are few cream cakes and other fatty stuff in there.
Thanks for doing this TPA
