Hi everyone, mega thanks to whoever posted the link to the food focus site-informative but very scary.
Well here goes, BMI 38.6. If I loose 2lb a week my BMI goes to 24.7 just a few weeks before my daughters wedding next year, than another wedding a few weeks later, oh and just for good measure I then hit the big 50!!!!
That makes about 6 stone to loose.
Looks like I have to start now for a sensible weight loss and time scale.

    Hi,
Please please can i join, i've seen most of your diaries and am in awe of what you have all acheived. I'm currently overpaying monthly, and have a bit of weight to shift, mainly due to my wedding in cuba in feb 2011!!!
I'm 5'9 and weigh 12st 5 *mutters* and want to get down to at least 11st, before i go. Most of the weight was gained during pregnancy but my little boy is 18 months now so can no longer use it as an excuse!!!
    Thanks

    Can I play too please?

I'm a frequent lurker on here although my diary is actually on the DFW board I'm hoping to be focused on MFW totally at some point!

I'm going to America at the end of August for a friends wedding and would like to not feel hideous in a bikini, so that's my goal but I guess it's about a stone to lose!

In the last 2 weeks I've put on 3lbs  - going in the wrong direction!! I blame the dog, he was neutered last Wednesday and we aren't allowed to walk him until this Saturday and as I had been walking him for about 1.5/2 hours a day I guess it's a lot to stop!! (I suppose all the chocolate hasn't helped either :rotfl:) I start a new job next Tuesday so I'm hoping that will help me stop munching throughout the day!

    So this is me:

    5'4; 27; 9 stone & 8 pounds, target of 8 stone & 8 pounds by Mon 23rd August. (So roughly 1 pound a week which should be doable!:o)
    Mortgage: Jun 08 £155300~Repayment Made: £4300~Remaining: Mar 10 £151000

Stats for the week - start

14 stone 1lb (the heaviest I've ever been)

    Goal to lose 4 stone 1lb (57lbs)
1 stone by August bank holiday
    1 stone by Christmas week

Christmas is 30 weeks away so works out 1lb/week

Also thinking 1lb=3500 calories so for each lb lost I will OP mortgae by £35 as a bit of a money incentive, think the money will come form not buying junk food, alcohol, meals out. BF want to lose as well so hoping that will help

Have been lurking on this thread for a few days and now decided to go for it.

Current weight.....hmmm I do not have any scales at the moment. All packed up with the renovations. I will weigh myself in the next few weeks and update.

    Target weight: I think I'll go for 70 kg.

Thanks for the motivation to do this.

radish what a great idea to have a mortgage related idea like that. I might try and think of something similar but maybe £3.50. Not feeling all that flush at the minute. :D

black taxi it all depends what you like eating i guess. You need lots of fruit and veg, with pulses, lean meat and not too much carbs. For me, it will be a severe restriction on booze, cakes, bisuits and crisps, and trying to make my portions a bit smaller. Most importantly though, i am going to need to exercise a lot to do it as i am miserable as hell with not enough food.

I promise I'll weigh myself tonight (think I'm 12st) and I'd love to be 10st but please put my target as 10.7. I think that December is a good deadline.

I'm 5ft5in and I go to Pilates on Mondays. I usually go swimming 2-3 times a week but haven't been for two weeks, will start again next week. I will go for a walk tonight.

I have a wedding in two weeks, a hen party in 5 weeks, another wedding in September and I want to look gorgeous for the photos. (too late for the two week one - I'll have to get me a corset) ;)

I just need to stop eating crisps! :o already had two packets today...
Currently studying for a Diploma - wish me luck :)

I'll play as well please. From 01/01/09 to date, I'm down 40lbs but I've still got an incredibly stubborn 8lbs to go and it seems no amount of exercise or starvation will do it. That being said, I know it's possible as I managed to get down to just a touch over the ideal weight in October last year but have since stuck 6lbs back on. My excuse of that being mostly muscle is wearing thin even for me now!

So, at 28, I'm 6", 12"4 with a target weight of 11"10. My Wii Fit tells me that I have to be 11"4 but it can royally stick that! Ideally, this will be hit in the next couple of months but I'm not that fussed so long as it's going in the right direction.

    Cheers,

    Billy
