I'm playing with that site today. My BMI was 27.2 which is still scary, and they reckon it would take me till December to get to target but that was losing just 1 pound a week.

Anyway, off to a good start for me. I just had 2 of the Asda cheap weetabix for breakie instead of the 3 i would normally have and didn't add any sugar. I managed 5 minutes on the exercise bike before the kids kicked me off it to do stuff with them. Little and often might have to be the key here too for me.

I am viewing the heat as a good thing as i will be motivated by feeling uncomfortable in clothes that fit but are too warm or don't fit but are cooler.

OOH, ooh - can I please join in? Was planning on starting today anyway - so this fits really well. No idea how heavy I am - will need to get on the Wii later to check! :D Can I please go on the list with an initial target of 1 1/2 stone? I need to lose lots more than this, but will get disheartened if it looks too big a target......

Can I update my starting weight please? I got on the scales this morning and I'm actually 10st 6lbs, not 10st 4lbs :o So that gives me a round 20lbs to lose.

Can I join too TPA? I'm not really a MFW yet (having only bought our first house on Friday!), need to do some work to the house first and pay for the wedding, but hoping to start my MFW journey in Jan. I keep whittering about wanting to get slinky in time for our wedding, but it's been whittering and not much else!

So, back on FF with me, I'm aiming to get to 120lbs by the time of the wedding, which gives me 20lbs to loose. It's a small target compared to a lot of people, but I've been saying I'm trying and really not focussing on loosing it for nearly a year now, and its time to crack on. Things will be easier in the last month as I can exercise, but right now its all down to diet. I'm a healthy BMI already, but big for me and none of my clothes fit. My goal BMI is still in the normal range.

Just reloaded myself into Food Focus and its a bit scary. To get to my goal in time for the wedding I need have a net of only 913 calories a day! I'm thinking I left it a bit late.... With exercise that would be fine, but without its going to be tough.

So can anyone think of any entirely upper body exercise?! I can't swim as my physio says that twists my knee. I could see me doing a lot of weights and no cardio just to try to get some exercise in.

Can't believe how motivated i have been today. I have diligently logged everything into that website and after doing 50 minutes on the exercise bike and eating well, apparently i have lost 0.27 pounds today. Now to keep that up.

The kids were not much help as they both offered me some of their crisps, but i found some will power at having to report back here.

I think i might weigh in on Friday then i can have a little splurge over the weekend if i like before getting back on the horse after it.

Dinah someone further up said something about callasthenics on you tube? Could that help. I quite often struggle with my knee too and can't do much when it goes. I do have a gym ball at home though which i can use for sit ups and i lie on it to do weight lifting. I also have some strength bands that i picked up fairly cheaply. I don't like doing too much weight lifting but it does help if it is hard to do some other stuff.

A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort
