  • Hi all, my first post so please be kind!

    I took up this offer last wednesday and bought two pairs of glasses on thursday. I was a little worried once the emails started coming, and i came onto this forum to see that the general feeling was one of being ripped off.

    despite my initial nerves, i held tight and on friday evening i received a dispatch email for one of the 2 pairs of glasses i had ordered.

    They arrived this morning, much to my delight. I hope that the other pair, will be sent out soon also.

    Many thanks to all the posters that have been keeping on top of things and keeping people informed on this thread.

    I live in Essex, i told my friend about the offer and that i had placed an order, he thinks they are going under. Has anyone else heard this? i am worried about my order now.

    i cant see it to be honest, they are a reputable firm.
    im confident all will be ok. im awaiting my dispatch email from them, i ordered at lunchtime on thursday.
    has anyone ordered after me and received a dispatch email??? as im wondering if they are shipping them in the time the order was placed? i.e 1st order processed 1st etc?

    they have also taken the money from my credit card for the sunglasses.

    Unfortunately, unless the Financial Director of a company reads this & decides to openly admit on an internet forum that the company is going bust there is no way anyone would know this.

    If anyone says it is going bankrupt it is pretty much likely to be nothing more than gossip & rumour.

    However, sometimes the way businesses choose to trade give some clues/signals as to their financial stability.

    As for the above comment on reputable companies I would like to assure the poster that "reputable" companies go bust to.

    ordered thursday lunchtime, no dispatch email 4 days later. i can only imagine the aviators are out of stock. if theyre not here on thursday i will ask for a refund as they have debited my card.
    i can get the same shades at a similar price elsewhere online with guaranteed next day delivery.
    will keep you all posted as to if and when i get a dispatch email.

    can i get a refund for the £17.50 voucher? as i have used the code?

    I ordered at 9:51 on Thurs, received a dispatch confirmation email at 13:05 today. From what I have read, all parties do seem to be trying very, very hard to sort out the mess. I appreciate that the whole palaver should never have happened but everyone at sunglassesshop do seem to be working double shifts to get it sorted. Lets hope everyone involved has a satisfactory resolution.
