Then say 25% of those people start phoning or emailing etc. because they have not recieved confirmation e-mails. It's no wonder their staff are getting uppity. What do they do answer all enquiries and send less out or send orders out and ignore e-mails.

Sorry, but thats bollo. Their staff shouldn't be uppity, no matter what - particularly when met with a polite request to check on an order. My request was brought about by an email claiming they were dealing with orders on a first come, first served basis. Thats clearly not the case and it is irritating that they are trying to claw their way out of a public relations disaster by attempting to bluff their customers.

If they had been honest and said "unexpected demand, bit chaotic, will take us a week" I wouldn't have even bothered checking - but they didn't, they claimed something which was contrary to my experience and then blamed me for holding up the dispatch process for having the temerity to ask a question.

More than happy to give people the benefit of the doubt, but I can't stand being bulled, especially when there is no need for it.

I ordered mid-afternoon on Thursday, had the Worldpay confirmation about my card being processed but nothing as yet. My sunglasses went up from £93.50 to £99, so hopefully I will get that back, I know they said that they promise to get out 80% of orders within 7 working days and will confirm when despatched, so fingers crossed :)
  • Where do you actually get your voucher from? I've had nothing emailed to me and I can't see where to log on at mycitydeals. Anyone help me, please???

    guys and gals.

how do I know the price shown on the site now is the original price, or the increased one? is it the case that the prices have gone back to what it was from a few days back?

    confused! :(

Once you've purchased the voucher they are supposed to email you the code, which in turn you use to make your purchase.

Did you get a confirmation email to say they were dealing with your transaction after the voucher purchase? Maybe you need to give them some time; I suspect they are inundated with orders at present. If you don't hear from them after a week, may be a good idea to drop them a line? Make sure you have your transaction details to hand.

  • Right, found my code (I'd somehow registered the wrong email address, good thing my laptop remembered my login details!).

Now I can't find where to enter it in the website. I've selected some Maui Jim's, put them in my basket, get to checkout and can't see where to put in the code. It's asking for my card details but I don't want to enter them in case the discount isn't applied.

    Any help much appreciated!
  • God I'm a dumbass - found the link in the voucher, thanks to skintdragon for making me go back and look at it, saw the link to the website on the voucher. Sorry for taking up valuable forum space!!!

Putting the prices up on the day is becoming a common theme with MCD. :(

Similar situation when they did a deal with Wantthelook.co.uk
