;33033587]LOL. There are many valleys in wales (south wales anyway) but of course not everyone lives in the valleys either.

The River Taff joins the sea at Cardiff (having been joined further up the valley in Pontypridd by the River Rhondda).
Listen Taff my GF is a Turk & a Mudslider (old nickname for people of Irish decent in Llanelli) and hates being called Taff, or Jack.

if it is causing trouble in after school club then dont allow him to take it in the staff are responsible for the children and their welfare which they cant do if they are having to police your childs psp. there are plenty of toys games and activities they have set up and in my personal opinion if he is sat in a corner playing on his own i would be worried that he wasnt interacting with other children. if it does get broken there the staff are right it is not their responsibility and cannot be held liable for his personal property

As someone who used to run after school clubs, and who had children attending who didn't want to 'join in' the running around or pretty much any other 'activities', I'm with the 'tell him to read a book' brigade.

Or do some fundraising for the Club and see if they would like some electronic games for EVERYONE to play with. We had some, and set up rotas and timings, and it wasn't a lot of fun to police but it worked, most of the time, and taught children about sharing, taking turns etc, which some of them were not used to.

DS2 took one of his hand held games to a Cub Scout camp once, and was in tears when it was stolen. I felt very sorry for him but I did warn him not to take it. I'm surprised you and your son didn't learn from that previous incident.

And presumably he survived at Club while it was missing, so could do so again.

Your only complaint is that the Club have not spoken directly to you about the problems and asked you not to let him bring it. And if you don't like that, make other arrangements. Clubs CANNOT provide the personalised level of care which some children need, however hard they try.

My son goes to a holiday club in the half term. On friday, upon picking him up, we discoverd that his lunch bag (containing his nintendo DS) was missing.

We spoke to the staff and they said it was possible another boy with an identical bag had taken it accidentally. The staff then phoned their mobile and left a message asking them to contact us. No-one ever did.

Luckily, this child goes to the same school as ours. My wife saw this boy with his father at school yesterday and asked him about the bag - he denied ever seeing it. However, his younger daughter dropped him in it somewhat because she said - yes, daddy, there were two ben 10 bags in the car on friday.

However, said father is still denying all knowledge....

Evidence all points to them accidentally picking up the bag, and then having it. I'm wondering if they've seen the Nintendo DS in there and taken the opportunity to keep it.

I'm not flippin' happy. Any suggestions what I can do next?

Don't be so rude. I highly doubt that a member of over five years and an impressive record of thanked posts would be on a wind up. Grow up. OP tell the school that it is not to be shared, and that is that. I would also have a word with the problem child's parent and make it perfectly clear.
